Been awake all night m8, but trying to find a Rover badge to replace that round one on my grill is a bit hard. Perhaps I should just nick yours? :D

Perhaps you can't see your Rover badge because of all the crome. :D

whats the best tyres for the 16"s. Thought about goin to 205/50/16 instead of the 205/45/16 to try to get it abit more stable. Like yokohama tyres so would it be better to get the higher profile tyre. And its spelt VIKKI

It'll make it more "soggy" handling

hiya VIKKI ;)

Its not advisable to use 50 profile as it will introduce inaccuracys to your speedo and possibly ruin the handling too

From what ive heard... Yokos are not that good. (i think fab16v has them on 17")

There are plenty of threads around about involving tyres and whats regarded as being good. Im running Toyo t-S on my 17"s at the moment.. i like them as they offer really good dry grip and they are cheap.. but they dont last as long as more expensive tyres :o

Hmmmm, was told that one of the reasons the Fabia vRS is so "choppy" is too low a profile tyre! Also, what else do the Fabia "borrow" off other cars in the VAG group. I have fitted McGard Locking nuts which are for a SEAT, so does this mean that the front/rear brakes are SEAT? If so what model seat are they? When I have the money I want to upgrade the front/rear discs and pads. As for the Yokohama tyres, I and boyfriend have used these tyres alot (he runs A048R at moment) and have found them to be very good in the dry (A539s) with good in the wet but they dont last long (maybe thats my driving) lol)).

I've tried the AVS Sports, quite liked them in the dry, but with the weather we get I preffered a more "allround" tyre.

The Fabia shares its floorpan and most the underpinnings with the Seat Ibiza, VW polo and most mechanical parts can be used from other VAG cars... i have upgraded my front brakes to 312mm from a Octavia vRS altho i could have used brakes from a Leon, Golf, A3, or new Ibiza Cupra.

The Yoko A539's ain't that bad actually. Found it out to be a loose anti roll bar link causing my poor handling. Now I've changed it, it's great through the twisties again.

:o

Well from what I've been using for the last 4 months, I think they are great. Used both on the road and on the track for 4 sprint meetings. 6000 miles and the front ones are about 1/2 worn, praps just over.
