  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

  • modified the cup holder     It's now a hobnob holder

Filled her up with glykol and water since she's leaking like a bloody sieve....

Thought about taking the winter tyres off, then decided against it.

Washed. Had to get the mop on the in laws car as some bird poo had etched the front wing of their fiesta... So didn't have time to do anything else...

In the last week, failed and passed an MOT, replaced ball joints and fitted a SEAT Sport upper front strut brace.

Raced it like a boss at Santa Pod... and won ;)

Raised the front coilovers by a little, looks more even now and can be driven harder without scrubbing.

Can corner hard enough and without understeer long enough to get the traction control light flashing.

Loving the coilovers.

Managed to finally get the cam/rocker cover changed over and also bought the bits needed to finish my rear interior lights. :)

Let swmbo drive it, on account of the fact her Leon dashboard was in bits as I was fitting a brodit holder (a powered one).

Also took the winters tyres off, brand new summer tyres need running in now.

booked in at the bodyshop and ordered my Columbus trim ready for fitting next weekend :)

Dropped it off at Beadles Maidstone to look at all the issues :)

Fitted new radio...

Took it for it's first service, nothing to pay thanks to fixed cost maintenance contract!

Confused both the receptionist and tech with the terms "Tear drop wipe" and "get the wipers to slow when the vehicle stops" only to be told these things could not be done as I "didn't have rain sensors". Oh and ask for these saying VAGCOM then got a note on the receipt saying " **PLEAST NOTE WE DO NOT USE VAGCOM OR VCDS** " haha.

Oh and they swapped my drivers side bulb which I didn't manage to when I'd done the passenger side.

staff were all very pleasant and helpful, very satisfied

Columbus picked up. Columbus trim picked up. Car dropped off at the bodyshop to repair the damage some **** did to it last week and drove off. Planning my next purchases and then I might even have something worthy of a build thread!

Managed to get rid of all the silver trim. £10 worth of gloss black wrap and the interior is looking a lot nicer including the door cards which were interesting.

Did you do it all in situ Rob?

Yup - didn't take the door cards off.

Using some trim tools there was just enough flex to be able to tuck away the edge of the vinly. I'll be putting up pics once its a bit sunnier

Look forward to them as I desperately want to get rid of the silver trim!

Wheels off away to get blasted. Getting painted inside and out :-0 post-101759-1366368285582_thumb.jpg
