What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Zinc "inclusions" - aka blisters on the lower part of the driver's door. It's a warranty issue so it's gone into the bodyshop to get treated and resprayed. It might be all week, but hopefully will be done by Wednesday/Thursday. No doubt it will come back with more washing 'issues' so I'll be booking an appointment! Maybe arrange for Dinski to turn up at the same time and see how you get on with two for one deal :giggle:

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

  • modified the cup holder     It's now a hobnob holder

Has it gone to Benfield or Keiths

Benfield - though for some odd reason the Skoda side of the dealership don't start till 8, but the Ford side open at 7:30. Going in that early meant I missed the worst of the traffic, otherwise I'd still be there now.

Yes, but I keep her ass a spare   ;)

FYP LOL

On another note

Yesterday I got sic and tired of listening to the inbuilt siren in my car when selecting reverse.

Front and rear sensors going nuts.

First i blew into them to try get out as much moisture I could.

Then wiped them and slipped a piece of kitchen tissue into the lower point of them to soak as much as i could out

Gave them all a good spary of this

Wiped off excess and blew into them again.

UIsed the car 3 times since in pouring rain and it is now as it should be.

Satisfied :)

Sounds nice Chris - some good features there.

Is it all detection based, or is there an update-able database in there of locations?

Hope it's luckier for you this time, in that position!

Its GPS for location of speed cameras, both fixed and mobile

BUT also detects Radar & Laser speed traps and can tell if a fixed camera is turned on or off

Updates are through subscription

Its all on the link I gave Steve

Stick to the speed limits ....it's cheaper. :giggle:

Spring clean :)

Hopefully fixed the leaky washer pipe in the boot. Unfortunately it had corroded through the wiring for the rear wiper. Bodged it back together but going to need fix it properly.
