What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Filled the boot and back seats with old cloves and took them to the tip. Filled boot with cloves and took to tip.

Then after that, I filled the boot with old cloves and took them to the tip.

Yep, you read that right, no I didn't type anything twice by mistake. I'm cleaning out the spare room which has been used as a dumping place for the last 6 years or more with most of the stuff being my old cloves from when I was in primary school going to secondary school (up until then we used my current bedroom to store stuff in, but it's bigger, so now I'm in here ans stuff got moved into that room "while we do up this one" 6 years later I'm doing tip runs)

So I've completely filled one of those cloves collection things they have and had to start using another one.

But on a positive note I found a pencil case I lost when I was in secondary school. Like I'll ever need that now though.

Put a tallboy and a cot bed in it. Drove to Seaford. Emptied it. Took it to the beach. Drove it over the Ashdown Forest and nearly ran out of diesel[emoji28] so filled up in Forest Row which was having a Fete.

Some time later got home and hoovered, washed and waxed it. [emoji1]

Cloves? I guess you're a fan of mulled wine all year round?

Washed a thousand miles of bugs & road muck off it.

Ta daaa...

Ugh!

IMO....Awful.!!!

Today was eventful. Got up early and gave it a wash, so it looked all sparkly... Then went out this evening and reversed it into a post. Please disregard my last post saying I had bought a reversing camera... Fitted it but it wasn't actually turned on...

Next on the list is reversing sensors, after a new rear drivers side light and repairing the bumper.

New o/s caliper and new rear pads

It was yesterday, but I fitted new discs and pads on the back of the Octavia.  Absolute pig to get the calliper carriers off. If I ever meet the "person" who designed it, I'm going to angle tighten them 90 degrees!

Took it to Shark Performance for remapping.

7 hours cleaning the inside and outside! All set for winter now :)

Mk 2 perchance??

I had the same problems yesterday!! Not to mention the locator bolts being made of creamed cheese! Had to hammer an Allen key into one as it melted when I put a torx but in it!

Took mine for a spin to burn off some of the disc coating... Then washed and put my new wheel centre overlays on.

Yep, the carrier bolts are triple square rather than torx though.  Problem is the access.  I managed to loosen the bolts by looping a very long strong strap round the end of the ratchet, moving back about 10ft and pulling.  At one point the strap came off and I flew backwards and bounced off the gate.

Fitted chrome indicator bulbs

Brought it , should be picking it up later today , can't wait !!

Thought about selling it and/or the mods not currently fitted.

Got it serviced on Friday and had new brakes all round plus two new CV boots (ouch). Then today took it to the 25th anniversary mx5 owners club rally at Gaydon (well swmbo did - I was in the mx5 with my youngest)

Bought the filler and started on tidying up the alloys for the winters.

Changed brake light switch in SWMBO's Fabia in the dark on return home from work as brake lights failed today on way to her work (which is fortunately only five mins from Sparshatts of Fareham and they had the switch in stock, perhaps unsurprisingly)!
