  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

I have a ban stick.... and I’m not frightened to use it!!

Put one of these in the boot.

Had to let the back seats forwards by about 4 inch to get it in though.

Gave it a quick wash (just washed it with a bit of Simoniz wash and wax and the power washer, didn't dry it  because I'm going to wash it properly next week and didn't have the time)

Bought it a present, the windscreen interior cleaner from Lidl.

Filled it with rubbish from the spare room for the tip, took rubbish to the tip, brought rubbish back from tip because opening times have changed from 7pm to 5pm because it's October now, parked car up with rubbish in for tip trip in the morning.

What's the story with track rod ends and warranty ?

Had a loud creaking noise when turning the steering wheel at low speeds and when maneouvering. Guy at dealer noticed this too when it was in for a service and said that there's warranty work going on to replace the steering/track rod arms and do a wheel alignment, so he booked me in and got it sorted.

Drove down to Nottingham. The car happily munched the miles down to see the girlfriend (about 120 or so).

Still makes me smile, cruise control on, sit back. Sorted.

Yesterday: Quick hovering of the Octy after 2 weeks of school runs and woodland walks for the dog. :peek:  Check oil and screen wash

Today: Fitted the dog guard in the Octy. Sold the winter steels.

Used it for its first B&Q run. Paving slabs, table lamps and shades, planters for the garden and 4 x 1.8m posts. Not bad for a Citigo!

Washed and polished the Fabia

Got the footwell lights done ... Almost. Just need to place the lamps at there right places.

And

Reassembled the trunk after installation of rear view camera and arranged the cables to the Columbus navi.

And

Installed the custom made w8 lights with white night LEDs and green light in the buttons.

Had to leave it parked under a tree all day. Only one bird poo and some bee poo on it when I returned, not too bad!

Bee poo? You'd need a microscope to see that on your paintwork!

Mike

It makes surprisingly large yellow sticky splats - up to 4mm or so across. Easy to see on the windows.

Did you get much tree sap though? That's always my main problem with parking under trees.

Called in at the dealer and picked up the Octy phone holder they had ordered in for me... Cheapest i had seen them on eBay was £10 going up to £20.

Price paid at the dealer???? £6.40!!!

Anyhow fits a treat in the Superb and holds the iPhone fine.... Although i think it would be too small for an iPhone 6.

Whereabouts does the phone holder fit and does it hold the iphone 5 ? Would be interested in this !

It was a Kowhai tree (NZ native). They're in full blossom at the moment as it's spring here. Don't think they drop any sap, so birds and bees are the biggest risk to paint :)

Left it in a garage for a couple of touch ups. Two scuffs and two prangs. Picking it up this afternoon, much looking forward to seeing the results.

Cleaned the windscreen and added a new 3m sticky mobius holder that makes the camera hidden nicely behind the mirror.

Tried to remove the tax disc, but the magnetic part was not having any of it. Currently just got a circle looking odd

Also ordered one of these to replace my old Parrot

It fits in the front drinks holder and yes it holds an iPhone 5 as that is what i have. Not sure it would hold an iPhone 6 or any other large phone though. The part number is 5JA 857 953 9B9.

Here's some pics of it.....

iPhone 6 don't fit. It is to wide, and will not fit perfect.

Took the tray behind the gear stick off to retrieve my iPhone back after the gf *dropped my phone* so she said and it wedged it self behind so it wouldn't open all the way :|

Needless to say i was ****ed right off ! :envy:

Much better parking place today

Changed the coolant tank after the temp light went berserk on me this morning when i started the car.

Had it serviced for the first time! Not sure where the 9000 miles have gone though!

Washed it (first time in four weeks) then set off to collect my winter wheels from storage in Harrogate. Just as I was ready to leave the heavens opened and we had about the heaviest rain we've had this year. Got to the outskirts of town and the rain eased off, and in another mile the roads were bone dry. Needless to say the car isn't clean any more :( Still, we just had another torrential downpour, so that may have cleared off the worst of it.

Drove it to wales :)

Jetwashed it down when we got back :)

Found out i had heated wing mirrors ! who knew hey !
