What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

I did this to it, doesn't show too well in the dark, but it was late ish by the time I got round to it. Basically I got a £2 coin on a flat surface, put a craft knife on it so the blade stuck out over the edge, then rolled the roll of tape round so the knife cut a stripe off the side of the roll the same thickness as the coin. It's just standard electrical tape and I don't know how long it will last but I kind of like the results.

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Errrm....

I don't see it :notme:

Red stripes on the grille fins

Looks good, and I'm glad to see you've not got rid of the chrome!

Mike

Yes, thanks. I actually like the chrome on the Fabia and I just thought that the red stripes would be a subtle change that doesn't make the car look like it's owned by a knob but still makes it different to the rest I just used insulating tape for now but if it doesn't last and I still like it by the time it starts to peal off I might take it to Northallerton to get it done properly at the decal place.

Having said that about the chrome I do like the black grille on the Montes because I think it compliments the blackened lights well.

I'll post a photo of it during the day so you can see better tomorrow.

Put 200kg of cement in the boot, made the suspension look like a normal car.

Transported a wardrobe in it. Not bad for a Fabia estate!

Somehow we put 140 miles on the Octavia just doing local stuff this weekend and a quick nip around the M25 A21 to Sevenoaks (stretched her legs a bit).

Then hoovered the inside and shampooed the outside. Just got a coat of Autogylm Aqua Wax on as it all got dark.

Having said that I did previously own a defender 90 managed to cure all its rattles with stuff off that site I mentioned .

Lies!

Haha ;)

Well went from jack hammer to regular hammer

Watched with pure agony at SWMBO decided to wrap my pristine zeniths against a 7 inch high kerb. 1/4 rotation on each near side wheel.

Wheel arch vented, tar spots gone.

Took off my 19's and switched to 16" steels with winter tyres...

Looks cack now lol

So it will now be a very warm month Damo!!

Thanks

Washed the mk2 and started to fix my leaky doors on my mk1 only to realise I don't have enough clips to do both doors today.

Winter tyres fitted, bring on the heatwave. Summer alloys good polish and seal with poorboys wheel sealant wrapped in there tyre bags and fitted to wheel tree. That will do for today :)

Ditto, though I'm still part way through cleaning my summer wheels, which will get a couple of coats of Collinite 476s before going into storage.

just had jennys cruise control stalk replaced ,all is good in the skoda world again

Nowt

The End

Gave it a wash for the first time in a VERY long time! Been down to Legoland Windsor and back this week too. 1.2 TSI coping well with the mileage.

Where did you get it from?

Not today, but I fitted Thule Wing bars and the cycle rack at the weekend. Very happy with it.

Went for the last drive of the year, with the purpose being only to drive. Went to Llanberis, EVO triangle then came back via Llanidloes and Rhayader. Car was OK but I'm wanting more.
