  • Picked up the new VRS: 2013 Fabia VRS by Graeme_Smith, on Flickr

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

  • modified the cup holder     It's now a hobnob holder

Watched with pure agony at SWMBO decided to wrap my pristine zeniths against a 7 inch high kerb. 1/4 rotation on each near side wheel.

Ouch dude :(

Put my push bike in the back of it, drove to a garage nearby and left the car there for some scuffs and scratches to be sorted.

JRJG

Put my new PastyBoy badge on the tailgate.

Got her NCT'd 4months over due, and walked straight through it road legal until next June

as an aside for the fellow Irish around here, that was even with the German Font plates (No pictures, just plain text, proper spacing and colours), that i had a feeling might be an issue... Had the old ones in the boot to swap if they listed it as a visual :D

Swapped out a faulty fog light bulb, the second one that's failed in the two and a half years I've had it. The fog lights have only been switched on a handful of times, but the cornering fog function obviously takes its toll.

Got my taillights coded to come on with the DRL's on my Citigo.

Got my taillights coded to come on with the DRL's on my Citigo.

I want to do that :( don't see why I can't have the coming and going function on my key as well

Just had a set of winter tyres fitted.

Drove it from Derby to Oldham, then went back via Leicester, which wasn't really on the way back.

Gave it a much needed wash, and also put my winter tyres on my spare set of alloys on :)

Removed my winter wheels/tyres as they were making my lowered Superb catch on speed bumps.

Then put my 19's back on.

Further to my last, refurb of my wheels is out the window.

Just had to buy a new clutch and flywheel.

Effing 'effer DMF failure didn't hold out as long as I thought FFS!

Haven't been on here a while. Must get out to a meet. I bought the car about five years ago then remmaped it to 182 bhp and eventually I had problems and things started to "go". Regularly, like the EGR, one off like the dual mass/clutch was replaced at about 100k and eventually the gearbox. So very recently year went for brand new out of box 150pd Garrett Turbo, blanked the bloody EGR, and Geartech put new "bigger better" bearings and seals in the gearbox. Then a remap to a very respectable 185 bhp and now the Fabia is very sweet again. A different altogther smoother drive. Remap guy said its perfect don't touch a thing or something like that. Currently on 120k.

Started to remove intake manifold, currently trying to figure out the best way to get at the Turbo Intake pipe as the clamp is in a right pita position :(

Took it for an MoT, sailed straight through!

Also it's 1,200 miles since I found my radiator was leaking intermittently and I chucked a bottle of K Seal in, since then no more signs of leakage and no drop in the fluid level.

New battery yesterday (annoying) so treated myself after and fitted my new front indicator lamp as the old one was full of condensation. Need the right one to match now though, as the old one all mucky and horrible round the edges! Maybe I'll see if I can clean it...

Replaced a couple of bits of missing trim today, giving the old girl a bit of tlc. She's getting there :) might give her a proper good wash after the weekend.

fitted new wiper blades. I CAN SEE :)

washed the roomster

dried off in my heated garage

polish and a vac,

looking good

Fitted winter set up on vRS, Dunlop SP WinterSport 225/40/18 ...

Edited by Nickolaidis

Fitted a cupholder next to the handbrake, woo! (took me a good hour, i couldn't figure out why the bloody thing wouldn't go back in, turned out I just needed to cut out some carpet...) Also replaced the catch on my armrest lid so it actually closes. Just the little things that make daily life a bit more pleasant!

Fitted the winter wheels to both of them,

a little early I know, but I fancied doing them this year without freezing my nuts off.

Bit late for this thread: Cambelt no. 2 and water pump this week

In keeping with this thread: TT front upper strut brace fitted, today
