What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Finally got round to cleaning it. Gave it a hoovering inside, power washed outside then washed with Megs Gold, then swilled off. Didn't dry it or wax it, didn't have much spare time and it was getting dark. It will be getting cleaned propperly shortly unfortunately so it will get attention soon.

Put the winters on the Octy and topped up the screen wash.

Re-badged and de-badged the rear of my Bros VRS. Then lime primed the panel to remove last bits of gum and polished out scratches.

Nice I need to order the new badges !! Still don't know which ones I need haha

Nothing today but yesterday I cleaned out my egr valve and seems alot smoother now:)

Took some bits off ...

Washed and waxed yesterday. Interior cleaned today and filled it with washer fluid and oil for the last two weeks of the daily trips to Bolton.

Nooooooooooooooo, not alloys in black, please..............

Refurb in a darker silver than standard, but not black. Sorry pet hate of mine.

(Plaster the car in hundreds more Simon's cats but please leave the wheels silver!)

Mike

Do 'em in black. I like a good black wheel. Not crap ones though.

I painted and fitted my new parking sensor (and so fixing the PDC).

I then gave a celebratory wash, polish, seal and wax for the winter!

Phil

I removed my brand new wheel caps and threw them out, which I bought as the others last week were a bit tired.

I have been really busy lately and not had chance to wash the car so my Mrs "kindly" gave it a surprise wash by the supermarket hand car wash guys while she popped in.  However, they used that bloody wheel acid that eats plastic and they are fubared - arrrrggggggghhhhh!!

Told her not to break my car again too but was hard to be too angry, although it will cost me another 20odd quid ...

Stuck the winter tyres on the Octy and SWMBO's Leon and my Dad's Yeti.

Gave the octy a much needed wash......then a hour later it started raining & hasnt stopped since!  :rain:

Nothing - the HUD I fitted has broken and stayed on for 4 days while the car was in my garage, so my battery is flat.

Car is nose-in to the garage and it's and awkward steepish drive, so I'm not rolling it out. Will call the AA later :D

Fixed the ashtray! I don't smoke mind, it was just bugging me!

On the weekend gave it a good wash. Then 'Sonax BSD'ed' it.

Is it sad, I wanted it to rain after just to see the beading?! :notme:

Not one bit

Insulating taped the rear window seals.

That should solve the leaky door seals for the time being.

Think I'll put a little dehumidifier in the rear footwell. (I bought a pack of five from eBay for £5 and they work a treat).

Hopefully that should sort the condensation out.

When I first started cleaning my car properly I used to hope it was a miserable day just so it would rain after I cleaned it. Best is when it just to say starts to drizzle 10 minutes after you're applied the wax, so when you come to take it off it is easier to do.

Give it a little wash to keep the winter dirt off.

Realised the swirling is worse than i thought (happened before bought the car haven't had a chance to remove them)

Want a machine polisher   ! ALSO bought 36 microfibre towels from Costco ! *Spied some new axel stands for when I'm popping the alloys off to take them inside for a real clean*  :p

Tried to change the console bushes on my car and became very stuck. I just can't get the console back in properly or the wishbone.

Had the a/c regassed and serviced.

For any Wiltshire owners, Halls Electrical in swindon have a groupon deal at the moment. £29.99.

Drove it to uni, the long way along the coast, impressed with the slight but notable improvement on the front end with the TT strut brace I put on over the weekend.

Had the mk1 mot'd, straight through with no advisories.. Not bad for an 11 year old car on 94,000 miles.

Went to the coast with SWMBO and the dog
