What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Washed it!

SWMABO complained she couldn't tell what colour it was.

Seems to have lots of small black dots on the bottom half from all the resurfacing they're doing around home, so it looks like I'm going to have to get the polish out.

Try a good tar remover (Autosmart Tardis is the best one by far) before you polish it, it will make things easier :)

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Got a bit of a problem with my top nuts loosening so I'm going to nip down to the local garage and ask him nicely to tighten them with the rattle gun. :)

Looks good Rob! Was that original std sus units on the back coming off? If so they've given good service I reckon - about time they were retired

I did the rears last weekend :)

Just need to fine tune the ride height now :)

Fitted a K&N Panel Filter to the Estate, and went for a drive and was quite surprised, the car feels more responsive and quicker just for a change of filter.

Dodged some potholes...

Found out why the car pulls to the left, one of the front tyres (now on the back) is the cause :wall:

I've already had both front alloys (now on back) checked for buckles.

Did the Audi R8 oil and water cap upgrade today...........car feels way quicker already

full tank of fuel :D

Cleaned the pollen filter...you'd be surprised how much dead leaves get caught in it...which probably explains the musky smell I have been having.

I hadn't noticed they were losing their coating but when I looked today they lit up half orange half white!

Oh and I also stuck some Loctite on my shiny Compbrake top mounts and marked them (to see if they are turning) because they keep working loose and it worries me somewhat!

Cleaned it!

Drove it to Liverpool and back, then helped a work colleague move house

Installed a replacement Pioneer HU to replace Stream and even wired it properly with a switched 12v :D

Now got the ability to play my i-pod, (or any other mp3 device), mp3/wma cds and all with Parrot bluetooth built in too! B)

I fitted these since one of my sidelights was out...

They didn't actually fit! I had to file down the edges of the copper covered plastic stalks to get them in.

They are extremely bright and look really good. I've had them on for a few days and there are no light errors on the dash.

The colour is spot on too, 4300K according to the bulb which is a nice white, not blue.

They are so bright you can actually see (a little) at night without any other lights.

Can't believe you've ran std indicator bulbs for this length of time though! Has this place taught you nothing? ;)

Replaced front grille badge and replaced the cracked bee-sting antenna...all under warranty ! : )

Fixed the melted brake servo hose.. and I have brakes again! Always a good thing on a track car...

installed new cd player and washed/waxed the furbie!

Wrapped some interior trim in CF 3m vinyl :o

Coming / Leaving home function enabled....
