What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

vacuumed the inside, was half the beach in the back seat!!!

Had a new set of top mount bushes/bearings delivered and also paid for a set of r32 springs and shocks which should be here next week :D :D :D (will probably just get added to the pile of bits sitting in the shed waiting for spare time and nice weather to coincide :-(

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Put engine covers back on.

Walked past it with my bike, skint at the mo so trying to save some cash at the moment.

Full interior spring clean yesterday, including wet vac for the mats and the front seats; the bolsters and bases were starting to look a bit grubby. Smells nicely of Autoglym products in there now :D

Then did a general weekly clean of the outside and the wheels, nothing special. Finished by cleaning the windscreen, front windows and mirrors properly with glass cleaner and glass polish, then applied some Aquapel.

Black "n " Blue, just had my roof and B pillars Vinyl Wrapped ,( Black Magic ) Going to have front grill done now the same on Thursday and rear lens subtlety Darkened

drove to work and back and on the way home followed a fellow briskodaian

Fitted the genuine Skoda rear sun blind bought from http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Skoda-Fabia-Rear-Sunblind-/170646245614 Thought it would cover the whole rear screen giving a tinted effect at a distance, but it actually fits between the front end of the parcel shelf and the roof - so a little disappointed.

Today I did this

I think you should do the fog light surrounds to finish off the look.

Why have you changed the headlights again?

They only come out for special occasions, in fact they just went on again last night ready for the weekend

Ordered 2 tyres and a back box in prep for the MOT next week. Fingers crossed...

Changed the alternator pulley which required removing:

The drivers side front wheel

Various bits of plastic under the car and wheel arch

Aux belt

Aux belt tensioner

Power steering pump

One of the fans

Top boost pipe

Drivers side headlight cover thingy

loosened off the fuel filter

Undid various connectors

Then I finally managed to remove the alternator and changing the pulley was the easy bit. The I had to put it all back together again.

All this after I undid the air con compressor because the Haynes manual says you can get at the alternator from below, which you can't!

Washed mine today and now it's raining :dull:

Washed and Super Guarded it, now its raining :wonder:

Yep, I hear ya! Least I get to test out my Aquapel windscreen treatment when I head out later emoticon-0114-dull.gif
