  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Is your cycling ticker for a month ?

I adjusted the gear box linkage on my Octavia MK2 and fitted new roof bars. My VCDS cable/software should arrive tomorrow so I'll be playing with the central locking etc soon.

Is your cycling ticker for a month ?

lol.. It's my yearly target which started out well but a series of illnesses this year have slowed me down reaching my target as I have missed 2months cycling so far this year and will be missing another month due to an operation :'(

Just gave it a wash....

Hi matt , it is just I do 1000 miles a month, not met any amateurs who do the same, hope your op goes ok

The Op went well, I had it last Monday and getting over it but the healing process will take some time and once I'm given the OK from the Doc I will be back on the bikes.

1000miles a month is quite alot, I guess you are a Roadie? About 1/3 of my cycling is on the road to get to where I want togo (trails/woodlands/bridleways out in the Peak District) so it makes it hard for me to get the miles up, even the few times I've commuted to work most of the journey is on the Trans Pennine Trail

Yes it is 600 a month going to work so the other 400 is easily done, well when I say easy, nothing but 20% hills round here! :giggle:

Fitted a Handsfree kit today!

Drove both of them today.

On the Octi vRS........

Foamed, cleaned wheels with Billberry, rinsed, re-foamed, rinsed, washed with Zaino shampoo, rinsed, clayed with Zaino clay and lube, wiped down, machine polished with Menzerna Finishing Polish on an Elite Orange pad, 1 coat of Zaino AIO, Z6 wipe down, 1 coat of Zaino Z5, Z8 wipe down, tyres dressed with Megs tyre dressing and cleaned exterior glass with Megs glass cleaner. Realy happy with result, nearly all swirl marks and scratches gone......

Inside to do tomorrow..... Busy, busy, busy.......

All about my 85cm aerial for radio DX'ing (though this was a week ago)

Today some petrol went in and I ordered a new steering wheel cover and some replacement parts on here. :)

Edit: and a new air freshener was unwrapped! (what an event!)
