  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Left mine @ RSD in Daventry for them to sort the damn brakes again.

In an Audi A4 for the week.

SWMBO passed her IAM advanced driving in the Fabia yesterday and the examiner was very impressed with the Fabia and remarked on how well kept and clean the car was.

Ready to fit :)

What paint did u use

Washed, clayed and fitted a new vRS badge on the front grille.

Changed oil, oil filter and air filter, and fitted new trim clips in door to stop it vibrating :)

Fitted the front mud flaps.

Isn't it nice when things are SO easy!! 3 screws on each side. Took me longer turning the car around so I didn't have to sit in the road doing the one side.

Sanded and primed the grill surround, ready to colour code and re-badge tommorow

Serviced it...

Finally found the rattle in the Passenger door and replaced all the door clips.

Turned out the rattle was the little pink bit of plastic vibrating when the volume was turned up, it's been bugging me since I bought the car 1 1/2 years ago.

Emptied it  :'(

After 4 years and 125k of troublefree motoring, the Octy is going back to the lease company. It has been at RSD for 2 weeks for them to diagnose and sort a brake problem, which they believe is an issue with the ABS system / pump.

As it won't generate a fault code, the lease company are reluctant to repair so as the lease expired last week anyway, it has been decided to return it. Hence I've emptied all my stuff out and it now sits looking very sorry for itself in the corner of our car park.

Made some flappy paddle blanks for my 3 spoke MFSW (separated the paddles, filled the bases and painted them)

As she's now run in I gave her a good run, have to say she's awesome was a bit unsure whilst running her in doesn't feel as racy as the MK1 but acceleration is much better. Stuck my Briskoda sticker in the front windscreen at last and gave her good clean and chamois for the first time. Shiny car! Wheels are a bas***d to clean though! :giggle:

Just given mine a wash between trains, and realised how many tar splashes I have all over it, plus can now see in more detail the damage done last weekend.

Washed both of them.

Traded mine in and bought a new one yesterday.

Gave it two coats of Colinite and know Whiter than DAZ could ever get it

Fitted my Zenec NC-5600 courtesy of Daz_pd

Just have to decide on which surround to use, I know there bad pictures but I'm at work and have just fitted in my break

Black is currently fitted as I don't think it highlights the HU so much. I thought I wanted the silver one but its a bit to bright

External Microphone fitted and out of sight, there is a rubber/foam insert which pulls out easily allowing for the microphone to be placed there, just need to try it out now

I wanted the Media box somewhere easily accesible but out of sight so I butchered the AshTray and it fits perfectly. It might not be the best of jobs but its only the outer tray and should the inner tray be put back in tobe used, no litter will fall out the back.

You pleased with the Zenec?

You pleased with the Zenec?

Yes  its going to take a while to get used to how it works as it does seem a little over complicated.

The bluetooth was easy to get working although now I've tried out the handsfree I think I will have to re-locate the mic as I sounded quiet on the other end, there is also quite a bit of noise whilst using the handsfree (compared to my 407) but overall for the money I paid its worth every penny.

The overall sound is much clearer/crisper and the midrange is great comapared to the stream however it does now lack bass so next step is to replace the speakers.
