  • Picked up the new VRS: 2013 Fabia VRS by Graeme_Smith, on Flickr

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

  • modified the cup holder     It's now a hobnob holder

Just done the Rear Tweeter Mod on the Est.

Sounds so much better.

Glanced at the octy while took the missus and tribe out in the zafira :(

Washed it and drove it 100 miles. Now it's dirty again :p

Went up to see Mike yesterday:

  • Replaced my rear wiper motor which had given up the ghost
  • Installed a leather armrest, to the top of the jumbo box
  • Popped a Bluevision bulb in the driver's mirror, for puddle lighting to match the other side
  • Replaced the driver's mirror glass as the old one was separating from the backing

Got 99% of the way with a W8 interior light install too, but then found the connector fouled on the sunglass case hinge mechanism, so going to have to find a work-around for that.

All-in-all, a productive day! Many thanks again to Mike for his assistance and hospitality

Fitted the new headlight washer cover to the octy.

Thoroughly cleaned the Winter 16" Audi A6 alloys

Used AG Wheel cleaner and IronX

Applied a coat of Bilt Hamber Auto Balm (Sealer) inside and out, followed by a coat of Collinite 917

Dressed tyres with AG Tyre Shine..Checked pressures..still bang on..Not bad for 30 months since they were fitted

This will be the third winter Ive used them and they still have 6mm of tread on the fronts and 7mm on the rear!!

Will be fitting them in November

Polished in the inside of the windows. The CC had left an awful film over them. :@

I had it serviced, third variable, washed too all for a mere £247

Had a WTF moment whilst changing the brake fluid and found oil all over the back of the engine. I thought something had gone hideously wrong but found the rocker cover wasn't bolted down properly, hopefully a quick fix. I must have not tightened all the bolt correctly when I changed the cambelt.

Fitted koni struts and eibach springs on the back of the fabia. Did the fronts on th weekend. Then drove to the garage to jetwash it and check the ride. Happy daze...

Had a couple of Bridgestone Potenza's fitted on my way home from work...

Dropped it off at the Stealers, the Air Cons making a funny noise, think it's low on Gas/presure

Taking car to stealers with aircon issues is like putting money down the drain, figuratively speaking. Chances are they'll get someone else to do it and take their cut. Best bet is usually somewhere that specialises with aircon.

It's done at the stealers, I've watched them do it Plus they Owe Me

Drove it a whole 1.1 miles to uni (sheer laziness, but it's tipping it down) after letting it sit since Sunday.

Parked up in the hanger next to the AH64 washed, polished, sealed and gave the inside a good going over. 3 and a half hours but looking tidy now!

Finally sealed up my door carriers! Then just as i was finishing it started drizzling, that sealant better dry pronto

Took it off the Wife, " Drive your own car " :giggle:

Had the Sport serviced, all fluids filters, brake pads. took Kelly 4hrs in all. he is very meticulous and allows me to watch all the time whilst explaining what he is doing. For a very resonable £325. Kelly must have used 12pairs of disposable gloves and 15 micro fibre cloths to keep car and tools clean.

Have a look at his work.
