Filled up with fuel and put in some diesel rhino for the first time. Purchased some Bosch aero blades from eurocarparts using 30% discount code.

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Set about doing a wheel bearing change.

Thought why not do the CV boot, track rod end and lower ball joint at the same time.

Come to do the CV boot (outer), could not get the CV Joint to come of the drive shaft, brute force and clover uses of old car jacks didn't work, so slipped the boot on from the other side haha.

Still got to put everything back together tomorrow. Will also change the coolant temp sensor tomorrow and program in an EGR delete.

Looked out of the window and decided it needs a clean.... here goes! ;0)

Sent it off to be scraped after crashing it on friday night on the way home from work

Ahh no :(

Hope you are ok, that looks pretty bad

Yeah Im fine thanks few bumps and brusies but other that Im all good. The knock to my head hasnt seemed to knock any sense into me though :-P

Some scrape, that...

Picked it up from my mates after leaving it there Friday night and all of Saturday. Being lazy I got him to pick me up in his Octy :)

Fitted a new set of glow plugs so hopefully I won't disappear in a cloud of smoke on cold mornings now.

I did naff all to mine today, but wish I had, it's bloody filthy :rain:

Southy, sorry to see / hear that :(

Saturday I stuck my winters on and gave it a wash, noticed a nice long scuff all down the drivers side so spent some time getting that out, probably some inconsiderate twerp with a bag, anyway, at least it came out easily enough :whew:

Ouch! Glad you're OK.

That front offside wheel took some impact! Into a ditch or something? Strong little cars though, which is obviously the main thing.

decided to wash it after 10 minutes thought fluffing hellsbells is cold so it got a very quick wash

Nope was on a bypass. Hit standing water in outside lane which dragged me onto flat grass verge and into the central reservation, tried to correct it and lost back end on the verge sending me head first into nearside barrier and bounced off and ended up smacking back end into the barrier. I cant honestly think whats caused the wheel to come out so bad as the front and back end have taken all the impact.

Bit of T-Cut and epoxy resin should sort it :)

Cheer's buddy, I think I literally jumped right outta the car as soon as it had come to a stop.

To me, the big frightener is the petrol igniting. I saw it happen once and that was enough; the occupants were able to get out in time.

Thankfully you don't have quite the same problem with diesel.

I gave it a really quick wash.

Took her to the local Czech/Polish/Hungarian car wash. :)

I gave my Octy its first wash and a good polish since buying it, Wished I had not bothered as now I can see all the little imperfections and the bonnet looks like it has been shot with ball bearings.LoL
