Gold grille surround next Bry? :p

Nah, what about golden roof bars B)

And door handles, foglight surrounds.....bearing Bry's previous efforts in mind (red & green grilles anyone? :giggle: ) anything is possible :o:rofl:

Reminds me on the Gold package you could order on a Lexus in the states:

And how about these in Gold polished

Don't give him ideas!! :|

Yeah, spacers on the front do push them out a bit too much for my liking; maybe it's the design of the bumper. Have you got a pic available down the side of the car skodaphile?

Ride height on yours also looks higher at the front than the back, or is that another trick of the camera? Are you on std springs?

Sorry just noticed this lol.

On Eibachs, and car on a slope.

I actually ordered 10mm hubcentrics, was told there was a problem, and got 15mm at the same price! The design of the bumper and body sides do make it look like they stick out more-see these pics:

Cheers for the pics

Doesn't look to bad at all.

Needs a clean and fitting that skoda sport bumper i have too.. :)

and lowering!

Arrrgh - would have done lowering first myself. My eyes, my eyes :p

Nice choice though, an all-time classic - dare I ask if they're genuine or reps??

Thanks, I too think they're a classic and have always wanted them since seeing them as a youngster on a Lapis Blue 911 (993) Targa.

The car looks unbelievably high due to it being jacked up 5 minutes before the photo was taken, it is still quite high but it is on my next to do list along with fitting the lovely Sport bumper I got for christmas. And a few other OctyNik stamps of personalisation ;) GTI International is my deadline to have the L&K (mostly) finished and up to show standard.

I am afraid they are reps as I (sadly!) don't have £4,424.37 to spend on them. They're made by an italian company and they are quite light and the finish on them is flawless (yes, I had my photography lupé out before I took delivery)

Very good

I always tend to do sus first, as I can't bare to see nicer/bigger wheels running at stock height :D

Thought they might just be reps, considering that cost! Finish and quality looks A1 though B)

Look forward to seeing continuing developments. Do the Golf sideskirts fit straight on then?

The itch is getting stronger. I've kicked the cat for a bit but I still can't shake it off. Do I wait and wait and wai.......for some BBS CH to become available for a decent rate as I can't afford them new or do I go for the BBS CK in Anthracite for around £850 and be done with it..... :S

The CK Is certainly a nice looking wheel, no doubt about it.

I wouldn't term them as 'second class' alongside the CH; just different.

£850 for a set of 18s (?) is a very good price for a set of genuines...

Another 20 hours and mine will have been ordered a week, not that I'm counting the time down or anything :(

The wait's worth it. And you know it!

They're being made to your specification, after all

Nice

However if I was tasked with designing a wheel to catch as much dirt and brake dust as possible and then make it tough to get at this would be close!

True, although whichever wheels I get would be coated with a nice sealer first to make cleaning a little easier

A good few coats of a decent wheel sealant such as Jetseal 109, and it won't be half the job of cleaning that it would have been :D

I do agree though - a tiny bit fiddly for cleaning!

For the neck end of a grand for just the wheels what tyres would you fit?

Despite being petrified of kerbing my alloys and therefore being overly cautious when parking I've still managed it on more than one occasion when I wasn't concentrating properly.

Will you specifically look for tyres with the rim protector?

You guys are braver than me, that graunching sound and the feedback through the steering wheel when you brush the kerb :'(

Keep the oem 225/40/18 ones that I don't need to pay for when it comes to changing them

I shall be going against my own tradition this time, and will be purchasing a tub of Poorboys before the wheels go on

I wouldn't bother with PB Wheel Sealant Bryan. Having used it previously, 109 is a better product, outlasts the PB stuff and is also easier to apply.

Not cheap I hear you say, but you get what you pay for

I think anthracite ck is a nicer looking wheel than the ch personally.

:)
