doing better than me in communication with your dealership; left under the impression that I will not next hear from the salesman until they have the Monte in their yard. :S

Mind I'm supposedly helping my lad out by running his Fabia in to the dealership for it's MOT in the latter part of November, might try pry something out of them then :wonder: (not the most local of dealers, otherwise I might have found a reason for calling in sooner ).

You have suggested that ' if that's the case i'll just demand it's not registered until March 1st 2013 '.

My car eventually was delivered on August 14th (from March 9th order date) and I was going on holiday August 28th. I wanted it registered 1st September. I said I would pay for it and collect it on my return from holiday.

Also I wanted the new September plate.

My dealership (and Skoda UK confirmed this) said that under Skoda terms and conditions the car had to be registered and collected within 10 days of receipt at the dealership.

No good to me - so I cancelled the order and got the £500 deposit returned!

ordered my monte on the 16th july 2012 1.2 tsi 105 with cruise, climate control and bluetooth. had a build week 40 (first week of october) and im picking it up this week will hopefully have been worth the wait!

Orderd mine 1/10-12. Today i was told that they will build the car W.44 and possible delivery week 48

Ordered my Fabia Vrs mk2 mid August 2012 and was told first week in November for delivery, I have had a few phone calls from the dealer in Bannockburn with updates and a build date of week 41 with delivery end October, really impressed with dealership as been using them for eight years now. And if the cars late in arriving I know it will be out of their hands.

Got a phone call on 11oct from dealer giving me an update on my car, it has been built and awaiting shipping which could be another 3 weeks. Getting really excited now.

Picking it up tomorrow, probably won't be able to sleep tonight. Gave the Vrs Mk1 a wash today, treating it the same after 8 years as I did when it was new, gonna be a sad but very happy day.

Hope you managed to sleep .. hope your collection goes well . I thought I had a good location for driving my new car around in , being that I live in the Cotswolds, now that all the autumn colours have arrived and the place looks stunning. But I'm very envious of your location and roads around you that you have to drive on . Look forward to seeing a few scenic pics of your car.... will try to do the same myself over the weekend . Hi new to this site just want to let people know that i ordered my Fabia Vrs on the 25th August and collected it yesterday 26th October, dont think this was bad after some of the nightmare stories ive heard. Well can i just say it is fantastic 'a little pocket rocket' cant believe all that power and i'm still getting 30mpg around the doors. My Vrs is all black with black pack, black and chrome alloys, climate control, sat nav, bluetooth, 3 spoke stearing wheel and heated seats for those winter days. I'll post some photos a.s.a.p. just it snowed last night so car not at its best.

Placed my order on 6th Sept, car is now at Grimsby port and is apparently due for collection next week, not too bad i suppose...

Red VRS, black roof, black wheels, cruise, sunroof and armrest (+5yr warranty just in case!!)

Just ordered my Fabia scout estate through my HHS employee scheme, petrol blue, sat nav, towbar and other toys gotta wait to hear from the fleet firm to know when delivery is, oh it's the 1.6 105 tdi by the way

Ordered ours mid-August just been told build week 50. Was given delivery date mid November. Past experience suggests that just because we've been given a build date doesn't mean this will be stuck to. Our last Fabia (a 10 reg VRS) took around nine months from order to delivery with many excuses offered along the way for the delay.

So, although we've ordered another Fabia (1.2 Elegance spec with extras), we're trading our VRS in for a new Audi A1 Sportback Sport. Will be interesting to see how Audi's delivery times are.

Nice! How long did it take from when it was built untill you had it at your dealer?

Was built week 42 and arrived at the dealer on Tuesday so 3 weeks ish
