Dealership has updated the boat will not ship until all spaces have been taken. This includes Audi, VW, and Seat cars sold in UK therefore delivery could be delayed.

This one....

ah, had one of my dippy moments lol, hoping all filled soon, cant wait for the new car, though after being shown all the controls in Bluecar1's greenline im thinking eek how am i going to use anything

Just been updated my car is in the UK. Waiting on a transporter to deliver into dealership.

On the downside could wait up 10days for private number plate change over . dealership has send all the forms into DVLA using Skoda comp 7day insurance today.

fingers crossed my car was also on that boat depending when it left for the uk and build duration, should have an update phonecall tomorrow so will update then

Hi everyone.

Just took delivery of my shiny new Fabia a couple of weekends ago , only a week after I was originally quoted. Got the 1.6 TDi CR 105 Elegance trim with about 6 extras; tow bar, full size spare to name but a few. Ordered 23-Mar, picked up on 30-Jun. It was in the dealers for a week before I collected, so about 13 weeks from order to arrival.

Hope this helps; after reading around I was thinking I'd be lucky to see my car before September. Good luck

No update on the system for my monte :( dealer reckons will be a big shipment next week as people who had a later build week then me have moved or something, so fingers crossed next week its shipped or it has been this week and systems just not been updated yet

Car is now in the dealership just waiting on DVLA sorting out my private number.

Just had word I'll have mine on Wednesday (being transported up from head office). Happy Bunny!

I've bought a new Fabia vrs from my local stealer. Its all ready made and in a port in Germany. I placed the order on the 8th July so itll be interesting to see when it arrives in Edinburgh. The stealer assured me it would be in my hot sweaty hands on the 26th of this month. Sounds very quick to me.

I've just had a call from dealer. The car is now in the UK. Thats taken one week so far.

Collecting mine at 10am tomorrow...

Just had a call from the dealer whose lists are now updated they hadnt yesterday and he reckons around 2 weeks maybe a little sooner depending when it arrives in uk as then its a 3 day turnaround.

Just picked mine up...

Finally some light at the end of long wait. Skoda UK confirm that Week 30 is a confirmed build week. Therefore all going well it should be here back end of August. Considering the order went in 16 Dec 11 it is finally over. Now the battle remains with the dealer as regards p/ex offered in Dec for March delivery. As the wait has been over 35 weeks I reckon the compensation in whatever (M&S vouchers or accessories) will be at the maximum and I assume will be up to £300. Not unless that has also gone up in the last year.

Any members got recent info on compensation?

Ray

Finally got a collection date for my monte of this saturday at 1.30 :D that makes it roughly 9 weeks from order to collection, very impressed seeing as he said it would most likely be september i would get it around 12-15 week wait but theyve been brilliant updating me and what not so i cant complain with the service at all.

Just cancelled mine.

Ordered 9th March and after many changes in delivery date, latest was given as 1st September (new plate)

The new plate made the wait worth waiting for somehow!

Now dealer has said its coming earlier and I have to collect in August (old plate)

No flexibility. Will not kep it until September for me.

Tried to negotiate with dealer by e-mail, totally ignored my correspondence.

Spoke to Skoda UK about it and they kept promising to come back with some info - but never came back.

My allegance to Skoda has unfortunately gone .............................

I would have thought there's some room for negotiation here...not by E-mail,face up to the dealer (nothing to do with Skoda UK) push your case in a friendly manner. The dealer is probably worried about losing his 31 August sale bonus.

If the deal was invoiced and cash changed hands on 31 Aug.,surely the car can then be registered the next day and everyone's happy.

Thanks XK140

I initially tried all this before spoke to SKODA UK on advise of the Dealer. I think even the dealer would say this was done in a friendly manner! The problem is that they have a delivery date of early August and (they say) SKODA UK have a policy that the paperwork has to be completed within 16 days of receipt.

This would mean that it would need to be registered in August.

This is to qualify for No Vat. Before they applied the rule, clients were ordering well in advance of their requirements to make sure of the No Vat and the dealer had to hold on to the cars.

Thanks for the explanation morelia.

I would have thought for a few days SKODA UK couild have relaxed that rule to keep a happy customer.

As you say, it happened in the past. Its not as if this was planned.

The actual Registration Date on my order stated 31st April - and thats when I initially expected it.

So much for SKODA Customer Services.

Ordered Fabia SE Plus estate with the 1.2 litre Tsi engine, with various factory extras from Gordon Lamb of Derby on 25th May. Car delivered last week and collected yesterday, 26th July. Turned up to collect at 10:00 as agreed, no sign of salesman, eventually winkled out 10:45. Salesman wriggled when asked where car was, after applying some pressure head of sales admitted the car was not ready beacause the valeter had noticed a paintwork blemish which had now been corrected. Drove new car away at 12:00, but got full tank of fuel as compensation. DRL's not activated (did this myself) - thought these were now compulsory.

Very pleased with vehicle - engine pulls like a train from 1500 rpm. Jean and I like the better quality of upholstery and radio, and the improved ride on less low profile tyres that the traded-in Fabia 3 estate had. Front end looks are improved with much neater fog/running lights. Rear warning bleeper is a little quiet (advancing years?). Miss maxi-dot a bit, but am getting used to new display. A very practical car at a bargain price - I got an excellent trade-in valuation.
