I'd be up for this! Depending on how many millions of miles away it is lol

Also weather and shifts!! Not that I'm picky or anything!

I'm happy to have a Briski bike meet, just let me get the new bike (well other bike), currently on the look out for a Rocket 3 or a Trophy SE

Trophy SE over the rocket 3 any day! :)

No, but it's going soon anyway. I have bigger and better ideas in the pipeline.

But first I have an Audi to get sold... Then the bike. Realistically I won't be ready to buy

until springtime. But yeah, I'm kicking some ideas around. I'll have a healthy budget and

I've a few ideas. I'm off touring next year. My first biking holiday.

Oo come on, spill. Which bikes do you have in mind?

Been biking since I was 17, I've had at least 12 bikes in my time and now I have none.

The last one I bought was a Honda varadero 1000. But I decided 4 wheels were are better than 2 and gave it up and sold everything.

I still miss it.

4 wheels arent better! Not in the summer anyway!

Get another? ;)

^^^

Harsh! LOL

I had cyclops sex slave in my mind...

Looks like I'm gonna have to get a bigger bike ready for the

1st (annual?) Spring brisky biker meet (absolutely NO Skodas allowed)™

or I'm going to have trouble keeping up with you guys on your massive machines

of much power.

I'm not much of a speed freak tbh so dont worry about that! It's all about the making it to the destination in one bit for me, still have plenty of fun en route.

Oo come on, spill. Which bikes do you have in mind?

Can't say :p but there will be more than one.

I found a random old bit of raw footage off my piece 'o' s#it very expensive 'Bullet Cam HD' what I had mounted on bar end of the ZZR1400. Nout of any interest in video tbh, just a single file from camera. A bit of tunnel love at 5:25 ish though.

ps. I miss that bike SO SO SO much for it's sheer awesomeness!

Trophy SE over the rocket 3 any day! :)

Already have the Sprint so that would be the natural progression.

Can't say :p but there will be more than one.

Come on. We're all friends on here, you can share with us ;)

Not gonna happen guys. Shoot the poodle.

You'd be doing natures Graham Norton a favour.

Been out for a blat today with Mrs G on the back. In hindsight I wish we'd both

worn something other than our mesh jackets as we were both cold after a while.

Just windchill, the sun was sort of out when we set off....

I had nipples like JCB starter buttons by the time we got to our destination :o

Which today was.......

Looks like a good day out!

Im still upset that you wont tell us what you have in mind though. I feel untrusted. I thought we were friends. Things arent as i thought they were. Sad times.

By the way. How do you find the er6 2 up? Enough power? Suspension Handle the extra weight well?

Aah, just don't want to put the mockers on it until it happens mate.

Having a major grr fleet re-shuffle and change. From 2 cars 1 van 1 bike to

1 car, 1 (bigger) van and 3 bikes(2 for me and a 125 for Mrs g). But lots to get sold and

sorted so I won't get my heart set on anything just yet. I'm off on my hols next weekend and

won't be back for a month. I can't get serious looking at stuff until I am home and I want to read

some reviews and stuff before I commit 100% to anything. And what I buy depends on what I get

for everything when I sell the current fleet off.

By the way. How do you find the er6 2 up? Enough power? Suspension Handle the extra weight well?

It's fast enough but you can feel the difference. Never adjusted the preload. It's a new bike

pretty much so the shock and spring is is good and firm anyway, with little wear.

But it's not effortless regardless of load like a bigger bike would be.

Mrs grr is a good size 12 and I'd guess 10st maybe, I don't try any heroics with her (or anyone else)

on board so I don't know how it feels when pushed, Front isn't adjustable on these.

I run with extra in my rear tyre all the time as I pillion about 50% of the time. That's about the

only thing I do different from factory settings. It's fine up to 100 on a private road then it's

hard work after that but to be fair that's plenty fast enough two up.

When you are one up it starts getting breathy and tired at 130 displayed but probably less than

that actual speed. But on a long enough straight I reckon it would get to 140 actual after a run at it...

But only tucked over the tank with your head forward behind the screen. It's not that kind of bike really.

Yeah dont blame ya really. Its hard to say innit!

Thats good then. The suspension must be pretty good from the factory then?

Yeah 100 is fast enough 2 up. I rarely go faster than that anyway tbh.

140's plenty fast enough. Iv not has a flat out run on vfr yet but iv had 140mph without too much trouble, then i ran out of balls. Itll do 155 on paper, but i cant decide whether to give it a go or not haha.

I havent had a pillion on the vfr yet but my mate wants me to take him for a spin on it (hes upset cos hes just sold his GTR haha). So might take him for a steady ride just for an experience.

I imagine it should be okay? Should be better than the SV i had before. Suspension is better (its only done 17k) and theres loads of power. Just have to give it a go i guess

Had some frosty looking stuff on the cars this morning... really cold hands riding into work this morning. Time for some winter gloves.  The garden thermometer was reading 4c when I left for work

Been impressed with the Frank Thomas ANTI Freeze gear.

Bought a t shirt from the range and even wearing a mesh jacket over the top

it keeps me good and warm however long I am out..

It seemed warm enough yesterday to not need it... It wasn't...

Yeah I was a little chilly yesterday morning, need some winter gloves.

Got a 60 mile ride with my mate today to get his bike serviced. Good excuse for a ride :D

I tried my cycling winter base layers this morning and it kept me nice and snug, was just my hands that suffered, I nearly wore my sealskinz gloves for cycling but decided against it as they wouldn't offer any protection should the worst happen.  My cycling scarf proved to be fantastic for keeping my neck/chin warm but as it gets colder I will need one more suited to the higher speeds of the motorbike.   I'm quite tempted by the Frank Thomas balaclava that Garry has linked to, does anyone have any recommedations from experience?

Going to have wander to SMC this morning on my break :) to have a look at some gloves.

If you want good prices gear have a look at Essex biker centre!

Very cheap and has a massive amount of stuff! If you know what size you need he does mail order as well as you all seem to be miles away from me

Inner gloves:)

I have a neck protector thingy made of the same material and what magika it works by I know not. But it does.

Linky for that too as very cheepz, they were on sale when I bought mine and I paid £2.89.

Still cheepz though

Was a little chilly this morning. Bike said it was 5 degrees. Which felt cold over the tops at 60-70mph.

First time iv used the winter gloves this year!

I popped into SMC this morning, I'm quite taken by these http://www.brandedbiker.co.uk/Lindstrands-Motorcycle-Clothing/Lindstrands-Flex-Motorcycle-Gloves-Black-White-8425 , I have the fabric version and think the leather will help with wind protection. I had a good chat with one of the guys in there and he showed me the universal wind deflectors to consider too.

I came away, happy knowing they have given me some advise without trying to sell me anything (not even the FZ6 they had in the showroom).  Time to keep looking & reading.

Yeah Matt

Excellent write up and good to know you are loving the new bike.

Defo up for a Brisky Biker Meet. Maybe overnight (doesn't have to be camping, even a dorm type barn thing might be cool) then we can have a couple of

Went out on a great ride yesterday, 250 odd miles. Checked my mpg for the fun of it. I would say the ride is typical for me I got 43pmg which is pretty good I think considering I don't ride the bike with any thought of mpg :giggle:
