Very nice!

I bet that sounds lovely with that can on

I had a k1 sv650s with a beowulf can and that sounded awesome. I miss that sound.

cheers, it does indeed sound good with the powertech stubby, the fact it has two is even better :) Those that ride behind me don't think so though lol

I bet its like thunder!

I'd say that's about the best way to describe it

Due to over 60% of my commute being on unlit A/B roads I spent some time yesterday researching 'upgrades' for my bike.  I read alot about the 125 battery's/wiring not being upto running a 50w bulb so it looks like I'll have to stick with my 35w bulb, will probably replace it for another 35w bulb at some point, see if that makes any difference.

I came accros Bikeviz who sell Aux LED lights. I found a few threads on his forum which showed a couple of 125 owners running 600-900lumen cree led lights up front, this got me thinking, as I ride pushbikes and have commuted through winters before on them I wonder is the beam pattern on the bikeviz cree's are any different to the beam pattern of my lights, the answer is 'no'.

So when I got home from work last night I dug out a 500lumen light which I use as a dipped beam when on the push bike and attached it to the motorbike, my ride into work this morning in the rain/fog/darkness @ 5am was much brighter than yesterday :)

The light is a Moonlight 500lumen, the insulating tape was fitted when I ran it on my pushbike as there isn't a beam cutoff & I didn't want the beam to spread over the centre line and dazzle oncoming traffic

Dipped Headlight - my camera is great in the dark, if my headlight was this good I wouldn't bother with the bike light, the actual beam is very yellow/orange and doesn't light up the road much

From a distance 'head on' I can also clearly see the right hand indicator on so the position of the bike light hasn't affected the visability of my indications.

I passed quite a few cars this morning and didn't get flashed once (never did on the pushbike either) so for a 'free' tweak I'm very happy with it.

I know it won't be to everyones taste & I'm sure there will be concerns/points raised by people, of which I'm happy to hear.

Looks good!

I updated the stock 35w bulb to a 40/45 watt bulb in my CG. Made things abit better but still not brilliant.

I ran an eastern beaver relay kit in my SV. Basically a bigger gauge wire instead of the standard wiring, with relays in. It uses the stock bulb holders for a signal only, so puts less stress in the switches too.

Might be worth looking into, but as its only a 35w headlight unit, is be careful as it might not handle the extra heat of a 55w.

Another plus point, I now have a torch if I break down in the dark

I saw a vRS yesterday, always a rare treat in these parts!

They never went FI on Firestorm's chap, post 2001 they had a bigger tank and revised clocks, I had 3 of them and used to be Mod / Co-owner of the VTR List in some of it's guises.

Once Roger Ditchfield @ revolution racing had done his work on the suspension, they where fantastic handling bikes, all 3 of mine had been "Rogered"

A wierd thing, but verified, stick a pipercross in, get it jetted / setup correctly and you could scrape to around 120 ish miles on a tank on earlier models. The Carb's where buckets on Firestorms :) The only let down was they could eat CCT's at Random, and the finish was not to the same standard as the Flagship Blade / VFR 750/800 of the day.

There's a bid on the bike and it's not mine.... :(

Hope we don't miss out but my limit is my limit.

Not ready to show my hand yet.

Should know in about an hour....

Touch wood!

The other bidder seems to have been bidding on similar bikes (if I am looking at the same one). Fingers crossed their loosing streak is set to continue lol.

Been to look at a YZF 125 today took the Clio ready to put it on a trailer but once I got there it became evident that my hope of it being worse than the picture was soon disproved and although the bloke took me out on it and was an immaculate bike I didn't want to insult him by offering the price I had in mind however a very nice bike and the bloke even took me out on his ER6F for an experience :) ohh well just keep on looking :)

Never got it.... Bu99er!

Sad times!

Theres plenty more around though eh guys!

Gutted, but at least you won't be faced with the distance to collect etc. Next one you find might be just around the corner!

Strangely. This happens.

Iv looked all around the country for a bike, i even nearly drove to South London for one. Then one appeared about 20 miles away

Never got it.... Bu99er!

Remind me - what was it you were bidding on?

I didn't say but a GN125.

59 plate, 1700miles on the clock two owners both female.

In particular the OEM gear change indicator, rev counter, low seat

and light weight made it very appealing to my Mrs and we are looking for another.

I rode it and it was tight and needed some abuse to loosen it up a bit

but it was a tidy garaged bike and a nice couple selling it.  I had second

highest bid so if the buyer falls through I get first refusal before it's re listed

which is fair enough. Back to the drawing board...

My purchase is being a **** too. Hopefully worked it out now and get it all finalised tomorrow.  Most annoying.

Doesnt seem to be workin for anyone on here at the mo

^^^ Still doing well on kit here though :)

Fairly recently I bought a set of Hein Gericke leathers for just £20 from a seller in Cardiff.

Fivers worth of petrol to go and collect them.

The trousers fit great but the jacket was too big. Sold the Jacket for £25 plus postage :)

Kept my free leather trousers and re spent the jacket money on this today which I got for

£20 also HG.

$_57.JPG

So I hope this fits better and will also zip to my HG leather trousers.  Also won a HG Tank bag for a tenner today.

After my recent fun and games on ebay I was half expecting the old 'sold elsewhere' BS but it never came so that's

something. I can easily get my money back if this jacket doesn't fit. I'll list it as a buy it now for £35 plus postage and

it will fly away at that price I reckon.

Toying with the idea of getting my wheels done in gold. Any opinions welcome :).

The pic with the gold wheels is one i found on then internet. It seems to have other anodized gold bits and gold calipers, so ignore those. I wont be doing that.

The second pic is my bike.

So. What do we reckon. Black or gold?

Or maybe white?

I quite like them in black with the red stripe. The gold looks good on front to me but as there is so much rear wheel on show, it's a little to much for me. But ultimately it's what you like best.

I do like the colour, but like you say, i cant decide if its 'too much'.

I think white might be too much too? It works for the 400's but not sure it goes with the red of my 800?

I'd say anthracite.

It would lighten it up a bit but not too much
