I'd say anthracite.

It would lighten it up a bit but not too much

Thats a good shout! I'll look into that!

Nice one :).

Edit. Found this. Not quite anthracite but more of a grey. Still gives an idea of what itd look like though.

I like it, and i think anthracite would only look more classy..

Needle in a hay stack finding things on Brisky, especially stuff like this. Dare I click on another part of the forum with regard to a car vs bike collision?  :peek:

True that! Its a risky game, be careful.

Finally all sorted! Going to collect the bike tomorrow  :sun: Getting train up there, because I need to be back for work by 3:30 and I dont want to rush about I'm leaving during rush hour. A ticket for a quick train is nearly £100! So, I've spit the trip into two, here to Stoke on Trent then Stoke to Macclesfield, takes a bit longer but costs a grand sum of £17.80 :D I also have the option to go dressed in bike gear and be very warm/look a bit stupid OR stick it in a bag and get changed on arrival, only thing is a I dont really like wearing bags on the bike.

'here to Stoke'? Where you at? I only ask as I used to live in Stafford.

ps. I would go with bag idea and fold it up (as will be less in it) and use some bungee cables to attach it to rear seat.

The toll isnt easy on a bike, no, but the drag race away from the toll booth is always a good'en!

What a great first journey on your new beastie.

I had a similar length trip home on my ER6. I got that in Stoke on Trent.

Take it easy mate on the new one, it sounds gutsy.

Have a good un mate!

Severn crossing is good. And free for bikes. Just have to stop for a second at the barrier

and then it's the wacky races away from the booths. LOL

Yeah, enjoy the trip!

And make sure the pictures are plentiful when you get back! :)

I love it i do. Its one of the few places where actual 0-60 (or whatever you want to keep it pinned for) times count.

N thats a bikes very strong point isnt it! Haa

Speaking of drag racing.

A range rover evoque tried to take me out of a roundabout onto a dual carriageway yesterday. I was in 3rd gesr doing sbout 15mph at first. Let her get along side me and opened up.

Between 3-4k rpm i was accelerating at about the same rate as she was tryna get past. Then the revs rise and the distance gains, then vtec kicks in and its like more of a boot up then bum n the thing comes alive.

Then by the time i got to the end of the carriageway, having backed off at 120 (km of course ;)) some time ago, she was about half way across.

I do enjoy these little run ins, not to see if i can, just to see by how much haha.

I remember hitting the M6 Toll tolls with say 10 odd artics and all of us 15 min from Stafford to sack it after a long drive from Czech Republic or Italy etc. We were all nice keeping sell spaced apart, then comes the toll booths and every man for himself, all split up to any booth and wacky articulated mayhem at the other side to make it back into the first 2 lanes up the hill :D Always thought it would have looked epic from the air :D

All set. Up at 0630am finish work 11:30pm. Gonna be a looooong day!

You'll be too excited to feel tiredness! Look forward to seeing moar of the CB1000!

I'm going to the Raven Café for Street Fighter Sunday if anyone fancies it?

http://www.lynnsravencafe.co.uk/

Setting off from Sheffield about 7am. Meeting a mate in Nottingham/Derby at 8am then on to Stoke for the bike meet. Should be a nice little blast around covering about 250 miles. Cant be out all day though. Mrs has said be back for lunch we are busy in the afternoon. I'm thinking about 2pm (poss 3) do you think that still counts as lunch time? :D

Matt,

Congrats on the new bike. That's going to put one big smile on your face. I would love to be riding that home. Get some pictures up when you can

Sounds good! Might pop over if i get the chance.

Im not too far from the Raven, iv been there a few times to the evening meets.

Lovely roads on the way too!

So am I better off going via Buxton?

I could always meet my mates there which I know will be easier and quicker but not as much fun.

Well, buxton to leek road is alright, but not worth detouring for.

I was more thinking of the roads out of newcastle (stoke). It gets better from there on. Some really fast stretches n some nice bends too.

Theres a dual carriageway that bends round. My mate finds it fun to see how fast he can take that. I leave him to it....
