A wee play on statistics

Wellgel Matt

(I think that's what the young uns are saying these days lol)

Had an absolutely nightmarish evening yesterday, bloody BP and their stupid pumps, put diesel in the Sprint instead of petrol :wall:  :wall: . I really don't like BP, the garage I stupidly used has the most un-user friendly system. On the pump they have 3 pumps (this isn't a plea for solidarity but a heads up) that must have been set up by someone who doesn't or has ever driven, on the left had pump you have regular diesel, in the middle unleaded and on the right BP ultimate diesel (which used to be ultimate petrol). I pull up, fill up with what I thought was ulitimate petrol (yes I know I should have bloody looked, but I would have thought if you had 2 diesel and 1 petrol you put the diesel together?), pay, get 400 yards down the road and splutter to a halt, wait 1 hour for recovery. After the initail shock my wife thought it was funny that I spent 10 minutes talking to my bike, telling her it would be all okay and daddy will sort it :notme: . fast forward and she's all cleaned and running peachy. Having spoken to the fuel save guy he confirmed that most of the calls they go to relate to BP! needless to say I will be writting a stern letter to BP, obviously not a begging letter but one of a concerned consumer (not sure it will do me any good?)

Your account of last night, didn't make me giggle 'honest' :D Prepare yourself for a patronising letter back from BP telling you how to tell the difference at the pumps I'd think though.  :peek: Far handier to get caught out with some diesel in a petrol engine rather than the other way around though :o All is well though which is the good thing and you reassured the bike throughout

Went out for a wee spin on bike and turned into 8 hours of NI bumpy roads goodness.... I am ball bagged now as a result muwhahahaha. Have a 200 mile drive to go to a hospital appointment I have been waiting for, for 8 months tomorrow so was great to clear my head and disconnect from the world.

Found a monster thing in my nose intake!

Good luck tomorrow too mate!

I had a quick spin tonight. Nothing exciting as its the first time Id been out on the new front tyre, so i was taking it steady.

Came across an audi s6 in town. Oh my goodness, the sound was intoxicating. Looked like the standard exhaust tip but it was soo loud it must have had something upgraded or removed in the exhaust

Hahaha. Im not sure it was like any of thst!

Although i may have had a moment when i heard the thing growl... Haa

I meant to say, I had a pigeon collide with my head a few rides ago

while I had the wife on board. It came at me from 2 oclock high and

I swear it was an attack move of some sort.

That's twice I've been hit in the head by a bird now.

The first time was in an open cockpit buggy in Cyprus

and not wearing a lid that time. It hurt considerably more the first time round.

I got hit on the head loads of times today by flying creatures too :D Had a couple of bird strikes on chest which left them pinned for a couple of seconds and rather cross! Only head shot they have scored on me was unintentional as it hit front of bike and deflected up so the impact was basically gone just looked surreal in slow motion from inside the lid.

Flies.jpg

Havent been unfortunate enough to have been *hit on so far tbh.

I have been hit in the face by something very hard thst fell off a tree though. Thst gave me a very very red eye for a few days haha.

Bird strikes don't compare to a wasp in the helmet

Anyone heard from Matt yet?

No, nothing here...

Hope he made it back safe and sound :S

I fully endorse the killing of pigeons in a car to prevent them flying at my head on the bike!!! Managed to punch one once just before it crashed through my visor!!

Because of the times I commute to work they are everywhere.
