Hey Fubar howzit going? :hi: Mind how I was saying the itch never goes away? Well the other day I was out a walk with Swmbo and a large procession of old BMW's went by, so, I'm standing there with my jaw hanging open drooling, when Swmbo pipes up "you could have had one of those" when my all time favourite the BMW 90/s goes by. She knows how much I want(ed) one of those.

I could have murdered her (for previously explained reasons) when she adds that "we can't afford it now that we've bought Philip (my oldest son of 17) his first car".

To say I was gob smacked is an understatement, I finally managed to get it out of her that SHE thinks I am now ready for another bike. Three years down the road and when I have no chance for another six years as number two son will be looking for one in three years time just when we finish paying for his big brothers.

At this rate I'll be bloody sixty before I get another! :@

Somebody up there doesn't like me I think! :wonder:

No can do mate, son two hates son one's choice of car and we did kind of promise son one he could keep it. Son two wants an original Mini, mind you in the middle of son two's tenure I will have paid off my car and my mortgage so a little patience may be a clever thing here. :giggle:

Could get a decent wee bike to get back into it for under £400 then when the time is right get the one you want.

Or get bike and at appropriate juncture get both sons to learn to ride - I still firmly believe that a stint on a M/C makes for a better car driver . I held my bike licence before I went for my driving lessons - do think it helped alot.

Hopefully your better half would see the sense in this too and then everyone is happy

Both need way more miles put on them :( Here is a rough plan of a tour I want to do but will more than likely be on 4 wheels due to timing and my leg condition (which is not too good at moment)

Would not do a live blog as such but would document with pics and could possibly do a full video time lapse of it. I am calling it "The Adriatic Lap"

There are many cool bike expeditions that have been done but that one I find really inspiring even designed and built their own bikes that's just the bees knees to me!

There are a few companies about producing diesels now. This one in the Netherlands is very interesting they have taken it very seriously and put a lot of work into the bike. I really should pay them a visit.

Post #38 my old bike I just traded in sounded so good never did find a mic that could handle recording its awesomeness was soo soooooo class deceleration backfires and wee licks of flame breathing out the back. I really miss the sound new one with the 4 way fan cans in true Zed fashion sound good but nothing in comparison :(
