No neither can I. They look OK. My problem is I haven't had a day off to go try some on in a shop. My next day off is Friday where I'll be trying to clean the car then Saturday is Combe.

I need to try on too, generally i'm a Large, but my last pair i bought i actually preferred the medium.

Just arranging to get my leathers shortened now :)

Wee yella went for her mot today, passed with flying colours :-)

Ouch, can't remember last time i paid anything near that for insurance. Think it was my first 7R @ £450ish in 1999 lol

Will be buying a disk lock soon and a reminder cable. Thinking of going for Abus. Because I want to take it to work I rung up today to order a permit for it. Thinking now I don't know how to display it. Someone suggested fit a second tax disc holder and put it in that but would depend how arsey the money grabbing gits get regarding displaying it. They may insist on it being on the screen, Don't want to stick anything to it

Cheeky young ****s :)

so quick update I had more surgery yesterday to repair my ankle. They have reshaped the joint and removed some more splinters and flushed the joint. another two weeks off work again.

Rest up and take it easy, NHS decided to no tell me what they had done during my operation until 6 weeks after (last week) which required a 1200km drive there and back for less than 3 min. Also only sent me out a sick note thing in post because the doctor was too busy to do it when I was in. Was meant to be 2 weeks off as well but I was in work from the next day it arrived almost 13 days after. BUPA is the future I think, I am sick of the NHS at moment.

That's not good mate, I decided that enough was enough as well to be honest nd went private for this, as will be the physio when I start it.

My firm's insurance are picking up the tab so it's all good for me!

Used the Circle Reading private hospital and it was like five star hotel, incredible place, just three of us there in the morning and I thinks about seven nurses, plus staff to look after drinks and food (real menu's for when you came out of theatre) oh and we all had our own physio waiting to chat with us too.

All in all a nice experience.

LOl not a 3 month wait for physio then... Sounds like the way forward. Its all private here hospitals are amazing, but work has a new contract for health plan which is using German hospital and NHS systems seems very budget now.

Out on my magical mystery tour today I spied with my GoPro eye something beginning with 'VW'

passed my test at 17 on a battered dt125, then progressed to a nice Kawasaki KR1S for a couple of years before moving onto a '96 Fireblade. That one was sold after 18 months after I lost a good friend on a ZZR1100 to a drunk driver, kinda lost my nerve after that. Hadn't ridden a bike for well over 8 years until last month when a friend of mine went and bought a 2005 KTM 525 EXC and let me take it for a spin, that was a bad move! I'm now in the market for a Yamaha WR450f or similar.... We have hundreds of miles of fireroads and trails to explore round here, can't wait!

Welcome back, hope you find the bike your after quickly. Sounds like the ideal bike for your set up, wish I had somewhere like that I would do the very same!

Welcome back to two wheels, I have the WR450 engine in my bike, wonderful piece of kit! Good luck with getting one and enjoy the trails.

How if your GoPro attached to helmet? Can i see please ? :)

Al.

I'll be doing two mounts. May try it when I head up to Aberystwyth tomorrow. One on the helmet and one stuck to the base of the screen. Of what I've seen for footage on Youtube it's pretty good and vibration should be OK.

Just with the mounting kit that comes with it, used a curved self adhesive mounting bracket then a long and short arm onto the clear case. Little sticky bit of 3M is amazing I didn't think it would or could hold. Still there a year later and rock solid. Drag caused for me only seems to be felt at about 130mph+ 160mph was beyond the limit for not snapping my neck tbh.

Been on a few rides now I've had the bike. First decent one was up to Brecon then along the A40 to Carmarthen and back down to Kidwelly and home. Road felt completely different and new now I'm on a bike. There's no doubt I can brake harder in a car but this is down to confidence. My speeds are increasing on bends. Was nice to easily overtake vehicles too. Either taking them out one at a time or going past them all at road works and getting to the front. Was a good run and great fun. Bike is definitely pressure sensitive and I'm noticing when they are out, even a little bit just like I do in a car. 36 on the back, 33 on the front as per the book. Not sure whether to try a little more or leave it at that. In a car I normally run cars 2psi more than the book says and has always improved things.

Tomorrow I have Aberystwyth and back to look forward to. It's normally a 2 hour journey and my parents are going too in the Swift. Told them to drive up how they want. I'll be detouring to try some roads.

Also I'm thinking it would be best to get breakdown cover. Who have people gone with?
