Trying to keep off sports bikes tbh, if i get something else it'll probably be a big muscle bike.

Fancy a GSX1400 or CB1300 but need to see how the finances go lol

Bixe fixed. Didn't take long and nice to ride it again. Now if the estate agents ever get off their arses with issuing me a parking permit for it I can take it to work most days. Been nearly a month now. When it comes to using it when it's raining, do I need a cover?

Lol no sports bikes for me, am happy with the wee yellow puddlejumper for now.

Would imagine you'd sell the cbr no bother through autotrader or mcn bikemart.

Not really tbh, unless you don't want a soggy backside lol. Is there anywhere you can leave it undercover at work or does it have to be a parking bay?

Haha i love it but want something more upright like a Street/Speed Triple or CB1000R

Passed it's MOT yesterday too :)

It's a parking bay behind the shop. All my gear is waterproof so not bothered about the rain itself I'm just thinking of bike electrics that's all but the majority of those are undercover.

I wouldn't bother then Martyn, modern bikes are pretty well put together. Only horror story's of old british bikes not liking the wet weather....and Ducatis lol

I'll ask about for you, whats year, mileage and hiw much tax left?

There's a couple of groups on Facebook that i've sold stuff on pretty quickly, might be worth having a look for them.

My Aprilia Tuono V Twin is sitting in the garage on sorn. (if anyone is interested)

Nice upright position and should see off any speed triple. :sun:

VFR800FiX going tomorrow to help finance our new Yeti (boohoo). Not done riding yet though - just gotta save up again for the next two years.

Sounds good. It's another thing on my list to get. Been told to stay away from carbon cans for V Twins as it apparently shakes them to bits. There's a company called Fuel people on the Org recommend

Article from Suzuki about the SV at NW200 and TT..... http://suzukibulleti...ng-a-supertwin/

And Thursday result from NW200 http://www.northwest...upertwin-04.pdf

SV seems about 5 mph slower than the ER6s. Do not know enough about the difference, a part from one is parallel and one is V as to why the ER is that bit quiker and tend to take the top ten places against the SV.

NW200 Saturday races rain cancelled which is a huge shame and after last years TT debacle with the lose of one of the key races the organisers seriously need to reorder the event to allow more flexibility ie front loading of the races to prevent this happening for a third time.

Yea he had another vid out earlier today about baby due in 2 weeks. He doesn't have go on sometimes but this last vid tonight as a teaser for the Euro Trip coming is outstanding such good editing, he has really pulled all the stops out.

Well I finally got some photos up on flickr of the NW200. For those who watched or visited will know that not much racing happened in the end. Washout on the Saturday due to the excessive rain. Shame really but the best decision considering the conditions. Didn't take to many pics as I didn't want a water logged camera.

Here's the link http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=nw200&s=rec from the Milwaukee Yam and those half dozen from E.R.N.I.E. I have more but don't want to waste my free space.

Would have liked to have taken more from Thursday but didn't get there until later in the afternoon, though we only just made the ferry Wednesday night!

I think it was the 3rd time it's been rained off in recent years. What's frustrating is that the Friday was glorious and we did a coastal ride that was spectacular.

Anyway anybody going to Donington tomorrow? I'll be there after getting a late invitation from a friend. Best pack the sun lotion :sun:

Oh you boys dont know what you have missed. My first bike (if you can call it) was a Lambretta 125cc had that for about 6 months, next was a BSA C15 250cc, then Triton ( Triumph 65occ Boniville engine and a Norton featherbed frame) racing bike a friend of mine bought it so he could race on the Isle of Man and got himself killed and smashed up the bike last bike was a Honda 650cc in the 1980's lovely bike had it until I had a work accident and buggered my back and couldent ride any more in 1985.

Friday was spectacular I came up early afternoon, never left Sat morning as we knew it was never going to happen unfortunately. They keep it on and cancel late even though racing will not go ahead so that the sponsors still get their air time racing or rain in background. Peter Robinson (NI First Minister) said they will look to make it more flexible in future with regards to closing the public roads so this doesn't happen again. Word on the street is along the lines of roads are able to be closed wed/thur through until Sun, with free run to close them and race as and when with say 24 hours notice as its all race week anyway. Should work out ok.

Twice in last 3 years its been messed up, last time I went was 2011 when it happened before but it was not the rain that stopped it. Racing was going ahead Ryan Farquars engine blowing up and spreading oil for over half a mile before he decided to actually stop was the issue. Rain just made it a nightmare to contain. This year some moron crashed on the circuit on Fri night and left oil on the circuit which was only found at 0630 on Sat morning when marshals were setting up but they got it sorted by 0900, top work on their part. Shame it was in vain.

Hunners of bike out on the A84 near Stirling yesterday.

I miss mine :'(

Started riding the bike to work. Can't do it everyday as at least once a week I have to work in another shop who often want stock brought up. Sometimes it's only the odd jersey but if it was 10 pairs of boots it would be almost impossible on the bike. Anyway it's great fun. It's a road I've drive every week so know all of it but from a bike point of view it's nice to see some of the differences. There's a few manhole covers just after exiting a few roundabouts I'll have to watch for when it's wet and the bike can tramline a bit where they've dug the road up before to lay cable. But it's saving at least 5 mins either way on a quiet day but on a busy Monday morning that's about 10-15 mins purely because I can filter to the front and be able to go when the lights only let a half dozen vehicles out at a time. Plus there's big fuel savings too. vRS did 25mpg at one point last week.

I'm starting to notice some cars don't like bikes but it does seem, and I know it's controversial, to be women so far. I've noticed most men will see you approaching lights and move over to make a gap. This happened yesterday. Then the woman to my left started creeping forward and stuck her nose, almost blocking me in. I looked at her and she was looking in her handbag. Then I had one nearly wipe me out on a roundabout by pulling out without looking. Proper case of SMIDSY. Then at the last set of lights where I'd filtered again to the front, a woman in a new Beetle convertible jumped the lights knowing they'd change and cut across me. I still beat her to the top of the hill so what was the point? I did have a van not give way to me on a roundabout. Think he approached it too quickly but realised what he'd done straight away, held his hand up to apologise and carried on. When we got to the lights I was along side him and he said sorry. I understood and told him not to worry about it. At least he admitted fault. It isn't just women who are like this. Many have blinkers on but the last two days has been mostly women.

Yesterday, SWMBO took my bike to go see a friend. 3 hours later, she calls me saying battery is dead - she left it with the parking light on. And as she wasn't sure about trying to bumpstart it and didn't fancy asking for help, I went out to rescue her.

We bumpstarted it and it was fine. I decided to ride it back (took my lid with me) and also to "teach her a lesson" LOL but it soon backfired: as there was no juice, as soon as I braked, it would stall the engine, presumably because the little power was used to drive the brake light and not the ignition system! Unfortunately, we hadn't communicated our return route so she went another way and when I stalled at some lights, had to wait 30 minutes for her to come help me start it up again. The ride home wasn't fun as I'd have to judge the braking, pull the clutch in and finish braking with my feet :o

Got home, having missed the F1 I wanted to watch and stuck it on the trickly charger. Starts fine now, but it's a lesson to her!

I've left the parking light on before too. I'll have to learn how to bump a bike as I couldn't do it. Don't know why and I've bumped loads of cars

I'm short-legged so really need a downhill to give me a fighting chance. Compression on the v-twin is quite high making it a little tricky to bump. If you can get a push, it's fine. Get it going as fast as you can in neutral, then stick into first and let go of the clutch. I've found I need to synchronise slammimg my arse on the seat at the same time otherwise the rear just skids, particularly if the weather's not that warm / tyres are cold. It's a picture to watch though LOL.

Easy done on the SVs (too easy IMO).

Pumping biggish singles and twins is tricky and best done in 2nd or even third rather than 1st. Big hills and about 15/20 miles per hour and weight on the back wheel all help. Jump leads important accessory.

Did the Devil Bridge twice in the last two days at dusk and dawn and that is fantastic this time of year when dry etc.
