Exactly which method did you use to remove the badges. I took a hammer and screwdriver to the wheel centres but I think that's kind of inappropriate for the front and back... I have both badges but am waiting on a 'fool's guide' for the detailed operation!

Take the wheels off and just push them through, mask off the badge like in post one , heat up with hairdryer to soften the glue use a drill to make a whole then lever off through the whole

I once saw a mk1 for sale with every skoda badge replaced with a perfectly cut autobot transformer badge. It honestly lookes amazing. I also see a polo coupe which has them.

Hi is that one on the front the same diameter as the old logo?

I have bought 5JA 853 621 from Rapid and it is bigger than one I have in my front grille on 1U RS.

Could you measure it?

Maybe yours isno't the same in size as one I bought for Rapid-sow only Rapid with new logo, and now on forum also Octy, Fabia and Superbs.

Going to put it on the rear but for the front had to take FK front grille, even I'd like to retain front mesh grile billy2981 did

The ones I have are from citygo, they will fit see 1st postings, the ones you got from thr rapid have a different code

My original badges were starting to delaminate and were looking tatty so I decided to change them out for the newer black ones. Very happy with how they look and I think the suit a black car nicely.

Some new usefull info:

Found both front and rear favorit badges and ordered them.

But important info about Rapid and Citigo badges.

Rapid has the same front and rear, and has the adhesive tape on whole back side with three plugs instead of two as old badges had

Citigo ones if convex on the front and flat on the back.

For Octy I owners as I am front on for the front and back because old one was convex and used for the front and rear

Citigo ones also have adhesive tape only as outer ring:

This might interest some as it was discussed before and it was evident that tampering with the badge of the airbag is a no no.

The Citigo carries the same airbag and cover as the Fabia MKII, Octavia MKII, Roomster and probably the Yeti and Superb MKII too but with the new emblem on. It is the only piece missing and will probably get it only if I manage to sell my current airbag.

Would be nice if someone could tell us the part number.

unless you pierce the airbag, theres little chance youre going to deploy the airbag. Think about how hard you hit it when you need to use the horn..........

Its more about the badge flying off if it deploys rather than damaging the cover of the airbag.

Citigo with only outter ring of adhesive so badge can be easier disasembled.

Those three pins can be removed very easy. Just twist them and pull out.
