Looking forward to seeing this finished boss, should be something very special. How long of a time frame are you looking at untill its hassling the back of ferraris ;)

We are hoping around Christmas time, which gives few months to fettle it before the track day season kicks off.

With the racing season coming to an end Jabbasport should be able to concentrate on it more shortly, as they did last year, so I'm very optimistic it's first real public day out will be Castle Combe with the Briskoda crowd in April 2014.

I was just reading in Japanese Performance about an Irishman who'd done something similar involving a Toyota Corolla and a Celica GT4. It took him over 5 years without the sheer level of custom fabrication this has in places.

CityGoGo would be easier as you could get another citygo badge, or three :D and just chop off the GO with a stanley knife and stick on :D

I would go further and play Homage to Murray Walker, City Go-Go-Go

*OK Boss, I know yours is unique unless there's something Jabba aren't telling you.

Really doesn't matter what the badge has on it as nobody will get to read it anyway.  CityGone maybe?

Looking Good Richard, all coming together now.

Really can't wait to see this little pocket rocket take off and demolish what lays in it's path

I've heard the first the Mighty-go engages 4 wheel drive and lays down 450 hp, the earth will momentarily stop turning?

Please let us know when this momentous occurence will happen..... just need to adopt the brace position....

Any chance of a footballing version, it could be called the.......

C-I, C-I-T, C-I-T-I, CITI(GO-GO)

:)

I'll give you a like for effort ;)

I've been working on that for months :)

Can't believe i've only just seen this thread.

Epic build!!!

Slight snag with the downpipe... it's going to boil the brake fluid quite quickly.

Looks like a race spec pedal box with built in brake fluid system could be in order for the footwell. :)

Exhaust wrap? Is there space for a proper heat shield? Just asking the questions.

Not enough space, no. Baring in mind this is the downpipe from an engine producing over 400bhp so it's going to get quite warm.

It's a bit compact in there.

you could always get the downpipe ceramic coated to keep the temperature down..

try these guys, they've done stuff for me in the past, really good quality finish too.

Cheers Tom, in all honesty they will be so close the vibration of the engine will see them touching anyway, but probably still worth doing once the braking system is moved.

Ah yes, touching is no good, it will have holes in it if it touches... It's always a problem with transplants, preventing abrasion between components, especially soft copper brake pipes and rubber/silicon hoses etc.

Would a basic non assisted master cylinder fit, then route pipe out to a remote servo?

Ah right; back to the race pedal box idea then.

That said, the ceramic coated downpipe is still probably a good idea just for heat management.

Possibly Chris.  Need to see what's available and if the pedal box idea just makes more sense.

Ceramic coating will still get mega hot, even if its got exhaust wrap on top as well!

Heat will be the killer problem from here on in....

Three words for you boss

Heat-shields,heat-shields,heat-shields....especially over the turbo,to stop it blistering the bonnet! ;-)

Generally agreed.

Specifically wrt ceramic coatings, yes they get red (or even orange or yellow sometimes) hot, but we're trying to reduce the transfer of thermal energy into the engine bay, and ceramics don't transfer heat. If you look on YouTube you can probably find a pic of a Shuttle tile being heated yellow hot and then picked up with a bare hand without burning.
