  • Actually my Yeti is done. Until we move to phase two this winter and fit a 2.0tsi.   While progress on the Citigo is slow it will be done one way or another by the end of the year, in time for meet

  • Yes.   One painted Citigo 4x4 shell and plans made for the next stage. Rebuild basics to allow for the loom to be made are being done over the next two weeks. Then a motorsport electrical speciali

Citigos come with 14" and 15", with a 16" option on the Sport models.

We are going to run 16" rims.

This project is coming along nicely now.

I admire your petrolheadness and ambition and like others, can't wait to see this little pocket rocket do it's thing :)

Is it done yet :) is it done yet :) is it done yet :) is it done yet :)

Cheers; I was right, for certain values of "right" that is.

Is that the same as "are we there yet" :D

Well if you put enough options out there, one is bound to be right! :p

Well the driveshafts are done and on the way.

Front brakes are here (310mm Willwoods I took from the Corrado I had) which will fit inside 16" rims.

Rear brakes have been custom made via a contact of Jabbasport due to requirements of size/hub.

So hopefully will see it coming together over the next few weeks.

I need to sort the seats as I took the Tillet Carbon Buckets with blue flashes for my Yeti.

They were originally for my Fabia VRS SE anyway, hence the blue flashes.

They look better in a Race Blue car. :D

But other than that and the electrics we seem to be getting closer.

You forgot the Roomster and the Santa Pod Fantasy Green Fabia. :D

Although truth be known the latter is really a group thing and I do very little there...

He gets up early and practices!

Thank you, thank you! I'll be here all week!

The whole design philosophy has been to make this thing still look like a standard CitiGo apart from details. So it uses standard size wheels, and the Wilwoods should fit an Up! given the right caliper brackets.

Having said that, unless you're also running a seriously uprated engine, do you actually need the brake upgrade?

Well yes of course with the right bracket but I was more enquiring wether or not the standard bracket could be used.

and of course! everyone likes increased brake performance! :P

Just had a catch up on this, really coming along now!!! Can't wait to see the videos of it underway

  • 2 weeks later...

Great to see this will soon be done, I have my cheque book out ready to buy this off you ;)
