Has anyone been given a delivery date for the Blackline Octavia VRS?

Featured Replies

I was on the understanding that all Octavia's get tinted glass as standard (although its not mentioned in the brochure against any model).

So to have a vRS delivered in the UK without it seems very strange.

There is the 'Sunset Privacy Glass' but this isn't standard on the vRS (or Blackline) and is only available on the estates not the hatch...

Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

If they are tinting the windows for you then I'm assuming that they are paying a local fitter to do it?

The factory option of 'Sunset Privacy Glass' isn't a film that is applied to the outside of the windows, the tint is inside the glass.

For the dealer to get the factory quality they'll have to replace the actual glass? But then its only available for the estate.

Is your Blackline an estate?

Agree the glass on the VRs is tinted but not privacy. I have the sales book and under VRs tinted glass is standard, I would say its a smoky bluish subtle colour.

Yep, just spotted it, "tinted glass" is listed in the brochure under the vRS.

Only the 'S' doesn't get it as standard so it would appear the factory could easily have fitted non-tinted glass by mistake.

This is going to be an expensive fix for the dealer/Skoda!

I have always had it on my VRs' (this will be my third), as silver1011 states it may have been a factory mix-up?

Would be interesting if others are the same.

Quite like that ^^

I bet huge amounts your glass is tinted, but it isn't noticeable. Have you ever seen an SE and thought it had tinted glass? Nope, but it does.

People see tint and think black glass, it should be clearer really in the brochure.

Strange, it's not listed in the brochure on the options list so to get it in a vRS would mean a dealer retrofit.

The Bolero shortage was late last year, unless they've run out again...

You give skoda far too much credit...

Does anyone know if there are any Blacklines left? My brother has just decided he wants one! He's flexible on colour, gearbox and whether its an estate or not but if he were able to choose he'd have a white, manual hatch.

Guys, those looking for a "Blackline" badge just search eBay for "Alfa Blackline Badge", they've already used the name for a limited run model of the GT coupe and there is both an interior and exterior badge available. In fact no, forget I said anything...

I didnt notice tints on the other ones...its defo advertised thats why im getting it on skodas account :p

Especially on black, i think it will look 100% better!

Great Pics and well done on being one of the first. I may be going blind here, but I can't see and SD card slot on the Amundsen + in your pic. Does it come with one? Also is the CD player a multi-cd changer or a single CD slot?

Cheers fella

BTW if anyone can come up with a nice blackline badge - I'd be interested in one for sure. :bandit:

The black and silver one above should have been on the cars...

It may be that the interior badges for the Alfa Blackline may be suitable for exterior use anyway, just thought I'd share the info.

Thanks for that. I'd better get on the phone sharpish tomorrow morning then!

It's on the left in the gap between the Radio, Media & Phone buttons and the screen.

Pics inside of my blackline for anyone interested.

Taken a month, but worth the wait.

Maxidot included, Definately no bluetooth.

So if you press the phone button it mutes the stereo? Would be interesting what happens if VCDS enables phone (I know a mic is not fitted but easy enough job).

There were loads on the computer screen in the dealers on Friday afternoon, I think I was on the White hatchback DSG screen and I'd estimate there were 30 left

Went to the dealers on Sat to sort out swapping my reg number off the current car. The new one is "in the country", so presumably sat in sunny Grimsby, and hopefully will be delivered to the dealer in the next couple of days, and I should be picking it up on Saturday :-)

The glass on the vrs is tinted but it's not really noticeable and definitely not like the after market tints so gingar_ninjar your lucky to have a clueless dealer who as a new dealership don't know much about the products they sell
