Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

mine is arriving tomorrow with collection Saturday, anyone hooked up VCDS yet to see if the BT can be enabled? First thing i will be doing along with digital speedo activation.

Is that possible through maxidot?

Ordered in white with DSG from DM Keith! Can't wait!

Nope, you need VCDS and cable.

Same! Excited isn't the word.

I ordered mine, in white, last Tuesday.

The dealer (Derek Slacks) were brilliant to deal with.

I'm still undecided on the black alloys against the white, but I didn't want a blue one, and the only other colour was black which would be too much with the black alloys as well.

What are people's honest opinions on the black alloys on a white VRS please?

Cheers,

Si.

U always seem to find the black allow wheels cheap looking, I think normal allow wheels look much better

Black looks good on white IMO. Gunmetal grey is better i think but certainly black looks good plus think about it, they will look better for longer as brake dust wont stand out so much. Anything that looks cleaner for zero effort is a win win in my book.

Anthracite or grey is far better imo. I massively dislike black alloys tbh as without the contrast between the tyre and alloy it makes the wheels look smaller imo. If I absolutely had to have black wheels then it would be on a white car with other gloss black additions. :)

Just been subjected to about 20 Skoda jokes from some of the guys I work with - knew it would come sometime.

These are from guys who are driving around in £1000 Escorts or Focus's. Prats.

The way I look at I have bought a £21500 car for around £17500 give or take - that has basically got the running gear of a VAG/Audi but with the Skoda badge. I know I'm not saying anything new here - but it is amazing that some guys are so ignorant about Skoda.

Anyway - I am off down to Slack's this afternoon to sign the finance docs so we can take the car on Saturday.

Does anyone know if the APR % is set to a standard amount on these deals? I'm not sure what my rate is? Should it be 7.9%?

Mine is 7.3%.

I was quoted 7.5

On a pcp plan?

I'm concerned now - I'm sure I saw 8.9% on his screen when we were haggling at the monthly repayment figure. What if when I go today I ask the question and they say its 8.9%? Can I insist it should be at least 7.9% without me scuppering the deal?

When I ordered the car I signed a vehicle order form, where no mention of the finance figures is on it. Just the Skoda price, minus my part-ex price etc. A finiance credit check was done back then (in August) which was given the green light - hence me ordering the car.

Today I'm signing up for the finance. Can I push them on this issue now at this late stage?

I got 7.3%

I got 7.3%

Forgot to say- that was on PCP deal.

Hulkster if your getting yours on PCP then I don't see why you shouldn't be getting 7.3% also.

Ask a question of the dealer before you sign.

The advertised 7.9% is representative, in a nut shell it is the average based on (for arguments sake) 100 agreements.

Depending on the amount borrowed and over what term the APR can vary, the main figure is the Base Rate which off the top of my head is about 3.5% (roughly). As long as you are on the PCP with the free servicing the base rate won't change.

Hope that sort of helps?!

Good luck with the new cars lads!!

So borrow more = smaller apr?

Borrow less = greater apr?

Hi Lee - thanks for your help.

In simple terms - can I question my apr and get it lowered at this late stage of a deal? I also wanted to ask about my agreed mleage. It's been set at 6000 miles per year, but I have no intention of handing the car back after 3 years. I will probably pay it off after 2. Can my mileage be reduced further to lower my monthly figure?

I told them what APR i wanted, it was part of my take it or leave it deal. You should do the same. Leeds gave me an apr of 8.3%, sheffield gave me 7.3% Remember, at the time they are quoting you these figures they have not credit checked you so its bobbins if they say "its due to your circumstances"

Not sure on that one. Lowering the mileage would increase the baloon payment(as the car would be worth more at the end of the agreement) but im not sure it would mean a lower monthly payment. Stuick the numbers in hereand see what happens

Went down to Derek Slacks tonight to sign up on my Blackline. It is still sat out the back with all the protective bits on! Looks well, and the steering wheel badge is the right way up. Lol. It was ****ING down, so I didn't take any pics. Sat next to mine was a black Blackline, which is going to be Slack's demo. It looked FAB. Wish I had gotten black now defo.

No problem regarding the APR, I need not have worried.

But it looks well in white though, so I'm not too upset.

Ian the sales manager said if anyone on here is having trouble getting a Blackline he has one of each colour coming in soon. So give him a bell - and let him know Simon (me) told you all!

Roll on Saturday morning! Can I post pics on here, or do I need to pay a membership fee or something?

Edited by Thehulkster

Cool glad you've seen it and it looks cool. 2 more sleeps for me ha ha. Will post pics too.

Confirmed collection Friday
