Has anyone been given a delivery date for the Blackline Octavia VRS?

Featured Replies

You have been told by Slacks yours is ready Wednesday?!? What date did you order it buddy?

About a week to 10 days ago. The 3rd car I've bought from them, they told me that they're waiting on a delivery of 15 cars!! It should have been Friday!

Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

They won't be going anywhere near mine!

Agreed something more subtle like the green bit on the vRS badge being black is my vote.

So, anyone else picking their car up today?

I chased Derek Slack's this morning - mine is being unloaded now.

Due to the backlog though - they want me to take it Friday, but I can't so it will be Saturday morning now..........

I need to go down at some point beforehand to sign some paperwork, so I will have a nosey when I'm there. Make sure there are no marks/scratches or upside down badges. lol.

Having ordered a blue 'blackline' it seems I will need to ask my local dealer to fit BT and sunset glass (they use a local place for that). For the BT can anyone advise the best module to fit and likely cost? Any photos of a blue one?

Mine was due today but nothing yet... Frustrating but handy as I am busy Mon and Tue.

Im also interested in prices for OEM Bluetooth installation. No date from my supplying dealer yet but im not expecting to be picking up before mid october at the earliest.

Has anyone else got an upside down steering wheel badge. I still have no delivery date yet

Thanks Sihaworth, will follow up on this. Nice Piccie Alee, closest so far, excepting the promotional one!

Might be worth asking your dealers to look at this?

Interesting read. I think the next sensible question is Does anyone know what microphone you need to go buy? And where to insert it? (thatll probably be another 200 quid from skoda!)

just got a called from dealer. my car is there...yay...and i've been given my reg now so insurance has been sorted. have arranged to collect this friday.

just wondering (like others have posted above) if its worth getting the dealer to sort out the BT fitting between now and then. has anyone had any costs back? and how long it would take them?

cheers

It's here, collect sat!!! Dealer bang on with time.

Have got an e mail from my dealer saying that to "supply the vehicle with sunset glass, bluetooth (accepts Galaxy II) and a spare wheel for an additional cost of £395 inc vat".

Would VAT come off on the offer, I wonder.

The wheel is about £74 inc VAT which would make £320 for the 2 but Haven't got a clue what sunset glass would cost.

Followed the link from that listing to the website.

http://www.carsystem...only,id388.html Suggests there that this won't work on 2012 models and directs you towards this part: http://www.carsystem...ofit,id219.html, which is an entire bluetooth module and microphone. Not a bad price really, 200 euro's.

Clear as mud!

Think id be tempted to try the cheaper one first then send it back if it doesnt work. Still be covered by 14days distance selling rules so might aswell. Just need someone with VCDS to enable it for you and bobs your uncle maybe?

You'd pay VAT as its not factory extras.

The Bluetooth will NOT be the proper skoda one, it will be a 3rd party kit fitted, parott or similar. Dealers won't normally retrofit the standard kit.

Better to fit the genuine kit yourself.

Thanks. If I did it I doubt the car would start again  . Will have to go hunting.

My gut instinct is that the Amundsen+ is probably not fitted with the bluetooth module, rather than it not being activated. Still, it'll be worth exploring with the dealer and if not phsroberts has just posted a very reasonable alternative ^^.

I bet huge amounts your glass is tinted, but it isn't noticeable. Have you ever seen an SE and thought it had tinted glass? Nope, but it does.

People see tint and think black glass, it should be clearer really in the brochure.

Very possible matey; when i see Tinted windows advertised, i expected them tinted more than a pair of primark sunglasses...however, ill keep posting if Skoda tell the dealer to P1SS off... :p

Great Pics and well done on being one of the first. I may be going blind here, but I can't see and SD card slot on the Amundsen + in your pic. Does it come with one? Also is the CD player a multi-cd changer or a single CD slot?

Cheers fella

Single CD buddy, and SD slot is there to the left of the screen. SD card fits in flush. Ive used an 8gb one, works fine :p

The glass on the vrs is tinted but it's not really noticeable and definitely not like the after market tints so gingar_ninjar your lucky to have a clueless dealer who as a new dealership don't know much about the products they sell

I wouldnt say clueless, he just thinks that since the dealership have advertised Tinted windows, then they should provide them...MOST cars have some form of tinted windows if you were to really argue the point, for UV filtration ETC ETC...ill no doubt be on to plums, but heres hoping! Not so much their products but the advertising that needs amended :p

And Damn the upside down badge is a pain in the ass.

Time to go apply some Demon shine in the 50mph winds!!!

Trust me that particular dealer is clueless. They are a new dealership which used to be arnold clark VW and now they are arnold clark skoda and from past experience they are totally clueless especially the service department. But if they get your windows tinted at no cost to you then that's great it's a win win situation for you but as I said they will be tinted but it's barely noticeable
