Has anyone been given a delivery date for the Blackline Octavia VRS?

Featured Replies

If I could add other extras onto the car I think I would be interested giving the fact the car is factory built. But hearing on here that you can't add extras think I will give it a miss.

Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

That's the let down for me too.

No spare wheel, maxidot, rear sensors, curtain airbags or xenon headlights.

it has rear sensors, not front. The only thing I would add given the choice would be bluetooth. I must admit I would like curtain airbags as standard.

Maxidot is on the DSG only. And i agree about the Bluetooth - might consider getting it retrofitted.

I avoided dsg, what is maxi dot, I presumed it was a higher res display... More screen info? I really wanted Bluetooth, there is mention of a retro fit on another thread. Would this work via the amunsden sat nav and or radio? Where would the Mic go?

There's a thread about it here: http://www.briskoda....standard-setup/.

Looks a bit disapointing, really. We'll see when it arrives.

EDIT:

This is how you can tell the difference on a pre-facelift Octavia...

However, on the latest facelift Octavia non-Maxidot cars still get the nicer display but with reduced functionality.

So it'll look similar, but have reduced functionality. Wonder if it can be unlocked / modified?

They won't be waiting until receiving 500 orders before building them!

If they are in fact being built to order then the production run won't be limited to 500, despite what the marketing blurb says.

The previous LE was fitted with specific numbering on the seats and dash, the Blackline doesn't.

The inability to add options will be a Skoda UK marketing / Skoda CZ decision which makes sense as it would kind of defeat the point of having a special edition.

I received a mailshot advertsiing the blackline yesterday, is it the "normal" leather seat option or like the LE special one off leather seats? (best thing about the LE IMHO is the seats)

Ok. Let's get some ACTUAL facts on the table, rather than guys speculating.

I received a phone call from the sales manager (yesterday) telling me that my car is likely to be delivered end of this month/early next month. I HAVE a car allocated with an order number, but here is the interesting bit.......

The cars are NOT built yet. They only made a small amount of blue and black ones to get into dealers this month. They haven't even made any white ones yet!

Also, the allocation of 500 cars is quickly running out. There are orders going in for them from all over the place now. I am really glad to have gotten one secured. I'm also really pleased that these Blacklines are getting put together from new, rather than getting retro-fitted with all the gear.

That is good to hear. As a Limited Edition owner I've always found it odd that those models were essentially 'modified' in the UK with the cheap wheels etc. Never had any problems with the leather though, which is of very high quality. We've just had the wheels refurbished too, and re-shaped. It is nice to have something that's a bit more unique than everyone else's car.

Enjoy the Blacklines, people!

That's the let down for me too.

No spare wheel, maxidot, rear sensors, curtain airbags or xenon headlights.

Well, f*ck that then! No curtain airbags?! What a crazy idea to not get allow that as an option, even if is DOES have different seats! The lack of xenons and maxidot makes it seem a bit rubbish too. Just my opinion though.

I'd much prefer a tech edition, like on the exeo, where you get xenons, leather, sat nav, Bluetooth, Bose audio, front and rear sensors, auto lights/mirrors and as many airbags as you can shake a stick at...all for very little over the base model DtD had one for 18k...now that's a bargain of you dot mind a rebadged A4.

Went into the dealers yesterday, just to start looking around and get some idea of delivery times as the PCP on the current vRS ends on 1st April next year. Salesman asked if I'd seen the Blackline special. The extras for the same price looked hard to beat so ordered a White DSG Hatch. Current one is blue so didn't want another immediately after, and thought the black with black alloys would be a bit too much, so white it is.

I've added a spare wheel and phone prep, but the dealer said delivery wouldn't be until December/January (which is fine by me as I'm still loving the current car, but doesn't fit with the other postings in this thread) He also said that the £500 contribution and free servicing weren't available on the blackline (although obviously VAT free was).

Strange. I wan't able to add any extras onto mine, but did get the £500 contribution and free servicing... Told to expect delivery end of September.

Curious. Well it was a Saturday afternoon so maybe I'll get a clarification call tomorrow, I can live without the extras, and the £500 and free servicing would be nice.

I was also offered the free servicing and £500 + 0 % VAT on my blackline order. My ETA is 28th Sept. Be suprised if its Dec / Jan though. I ordered Friday afternoon.

Free servicing and 500 off with finance here! But couldn't add extras. I expect del this month.

I’ve also ordered my Blackline - I seem to be the first to own up to ordering the Blackline in Black! Has anyone else looked at the Black version? I'm starting to have second thoughts about the Black on Black, but perhaps only listening to the threads on here!! Can only find marketing pictures in the White and Blue – maybe it’s a sign! Has anyone on here got a standard vRS with black alloys on that can post a pic?

No delivery date for me either unfortunately, not even an "end of the month" - its such a good deal though I’m prepared to wait!!

Blackline ordered today....(Estate in Race Blue).

Good deal from a local retailer - good valuation on my non Skoda PX, free servicing, £500 deposit and money off the listed retail prices for the Blackline.

No delivery date given....apparently orders for Blacklines can only be placed with Skoda Uk from tomorrow?!? Dealer reckoned he sold 2 cars last week but as yet couldn't order on the Skoda system. Reading this post it would appear this may not be true, although if it is it would explain why no one has a delivery date. Expecting a call tomorrow.

Looks a great forum btw.

Mine will be black, didn't want blue, wife ruled out white... Left me with black lol. Like black, but not sure with black wheels... Gonna look like Darth Vaders car.

There are so many mixed messages re availability, extras, location of the cars, leadtime etc. All my dealer says is that skoda have accepted my order... But can not give eta or order no.

I reckon all of the 500 have gone to Briskodians, that doesn't leave any for the rest of the country :giggle:

Yes, they have the standard vRS leather seats.

The LE seats are best looking seats I've seen in any car, let alone a Skoda!

Didn't know this site existed until I bought one.

What air bags are standard on the Octavia? I have slight reservations about no curtain air bags, it will be a family car.

Hi all!

I have been following this forum in the background for the last few weeks but was only able to post until just now.

I too ordered my Blackline hatchback in Race Blue last week. Got the 500 pounds off and free servicing with the finance but no definite delivery date??

Interested to see who will get the first phone call??

I was also told that they weren't even available on the system yet (this was last week, when I put my deposit down). I was told they were going on the system on the 3rd. I spoke to the dealer on Tuesday but was a little sketchy when I questioned if i defiantly had one. They told me that my name was down for one, they reckoned each dealer got an 'allocation' and my name was first on there list so I am 'guaranteed' to get one. Not really sure what to believe as they couldn’t give me any sort of delivery date!

Maybe the dealers have taken everyone’s deposit but haven’t yet fully completed everyone’s order on their systems…

Yes, they have the standard vRS leather seats.

If the seats CAN accomodate curtain airbags as the vRS ones certainly can, it's an absolutely mental decision not to allow this as an optional extra!

Skoda are sacrificing safety to sell a few cars under the guise of special editions, which is dreadful!

Bearing in mind I see more than my fair share of road traffic collisions, i'm actually, truly shocked and appalled by that!
