Has anyone been given a delivery date for the Blackline Octavia VRS?

Featured Replies

BT can be retro-fitted easily enough. Dealer might only put in a generic system though. The factory BT can be self-installed in a couple of hours for about £150, which is a better option

I'd be grateful if you could post a link to a guide, or similar?

Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

I'll find it this avo.

Just spoke to Skoda UK. They couldn't confirm if it is an Amundsen + or standard, but they were confident it definately does not come with BT module. The woman also said it can be retro fitted, however this needs to be done by an approved dealer with approved Skoda parts otherwise it will invalidate any warranty!.

My car is 'released to ship' 12/09, but doesn't show as shipped yet.

Ps: I would be surprised if all components shipped to uk and retro fitted...this suggests 500 vrs'es are sat around either in Europe or uk (yes I know uk is Europe but in my heart it is not!)...

I said in a post on the 'blackline issues' thread.that SUK have confirmed that ALL blackline models are being built IN FULL in the factory, with the only option available to change is the colour. There is nothing being added on or off spec in the UK.

This is crazy as my dealer has just called me to confirm their discussion with SUK and here is what they told me:-

It is a Amundsen plus satnav unit with integrated BT, integrated data storage and Maxi-dot trip computer confirmed (all this on my car that has been ordered as a Blackline) once in writing i can populate the coding if it helps people out.

^^^^^^ As someone else mentioned, the documentation/marketing information and general 'in the dark' comments from the dealer I've used; I wouldn't be suprised if it was the full system - I did ask for clarification on whether it was the + model as it contains the DAB radio, but the SUK agent, just confirmed it was an Amundsen unit with DAB but no bluetooth. We just need to wait and see. If it is bluetooth(less) I will get it retro fitted as its something I need, just not sure if its worh doing MDI at the same time. I've gone for DSG so will definately get the Maxi-dot.

If you are able to provide the coding info that would be great. thanks.

its all a bit messy. I think we are all going to have to wait and see, presume we are going to get the spec advertised and thing else is a bonus. If they dealer confirms anything else maybe worth getting it in writing?

I am getting mixed messages about delivery, the car seems to be complete and ready for shipment, dealer thinks it should arrive by end of month, SUK state 3-4 weeks!!!

Bt would be nice, I will retro fit if not included (I don't expect bt), not fussed about MDI, just gonna fill a 32gb memory card.

I phoned Derek Slacks this morning to ask for my order number.

Good news!!

My car is built and due to ship THIS Friday, although it might slip to Friday next week....

I should have my Blackline sat on my drive either the last week of this month, or the first week of next month.......

Wahoooo!

I think our cars will ship together. Hoping this Friday.

Thanks guys it seems retro fitting BT is the way to go, I'll look around for someone who can carry this out to Skoda spec.

I'm testing the DSG at the weekend, do you think the blacklines might be sold out by then?

well at last we have decided, after having a family tea at the local Framkie and bennies we have all decided to go for a black Vrs Blackline ...

i no not many people have gone for black but the deal i have had is a cracking deal, good px price on mine, the normal good finanace package, a couple of things thrown in and the deal is on

im also hoping as its a black one i have gone for there is more of a chance of me getting it before the end of the month , as me tax, service (even thought its payed for) and in the next couple of thousand miles tyres needed ....

Well done matey - I sometimes wish I had gone for black. I reckon it will look STUNNING.

I have ordered black by default, wife said no to white, blue not my thing - Not 100% sure if overkill with black wheels, but I reckon it will look great, great alternative to all the white options that seems to be getting very popular.

Good choice David, you've joined a growing number on here who have bitten for a blackline.

vrsmaybe: who knows how many are left, probably be some, but as they are already made you may have limited choice to what's left. Im assuming dsg has been popular. Hope you decide to get one :-)

Hi all! Just a quick update! Dealer phoned today to inform me that my Blackline is to be expected mid-end October. I'm sure that no one really knows judging by other posts LOL.

Mine will be here by the end of September, manual in white.

Ditto, according to the Dealer.

Can't let this lie RNS315 looks the same as the plus version, this specification confirms integrated data storage (dealer told me this today) and the BT mobile connection without additional hands free system

http://www.vag-tec.com/vw/polo/volkswagen-rns-315-navigation-system

Remember there are also rns315's without the BT, so don't get too excited. It also is possible even if the BT doesn't appear to be present, that the module may be there and could be activated by VCDS.

It doesn't necessary mean that having Dab will gurantee the plus unit is fitted at all. Some yetis have dab, but the older Amundsen.

Went in to Jewsons Skoda (Oxford) 2 week ago to test drive a second hand octavia vrs. A week later ended up ordering a new Blackline estate manual in magic black from them. Offer was too good to pass really. Like all of us no delivery date given as of yet. But was told by the dealer 3 weeks max when I ordered it as it was showing at the port!?

Dealer told me that it is defo fitted with plus version and integrated data storage (description taken from car spec order sheet) which is also mentioned in my link. Just seems we will have to wait and see. :wall:

Just have to wait and see. What it has when it arrives but I will be surprised if it has BT as the Columbus is the premium unit and it don't have BT but it has Phone preparation.

Had a word with a guy at Bickertons,Sheffield on Sunday.

Said they were only being allowed one,and that would be a demonstrator.

What's the point of having a demonstrator if you can't get any more?

Also verified that they only have diesel.

I would have ordered there and then if they did petrol.

Maybe Skoda will see sense and do another batch. Lets hope so.
