Has anyone been given a delivery date for the Blackline Octavia VRS?

Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

That's even worse then, cos they're DEFINITELY a fittable option and looks like they're available on literally every other octy from the s model up!!

I know the seats have airbags, so I thought we were referring to the ones that pop out from the side of there.

Curtain airbags are an option on all octavia's except L&K which they are standard fit. The blackline is supposed to be a Ltd edition model which the options are preset. I doubt they will be factory orders because if they were factory builds the dealer coud track them on their system and so could skoda uk.

I just checked on skoda.co.uk and it looks like the content regarding the Octavia Blackline has been updated (correct me if I'm wrong).

It mentions that it "will be on sale from 17
th
September"

I'm also interested to see that the Skoda finance deal mentions the free servicing but not the £500 contribution

in the brochure for the octavia (on the Skoda website), it details the blackline, but doesn't mention it is limited to 500. I wonder whether it will actually be limited to this number. Surely if the interest is high they would be wise to carry on taking orders.

I'm trying to update my order today to change the manual to DSG. The feedback of the DSG box is very positive.

They seem set on the 500 - "500*. That’s all we’re making of this new limited edition Octavia vRS Blackline, so act now to avoid disappointment." - these will sell quick, so there could be another batch.

Odd how its says available from 17th Sept, my contact is no wiser!!!

Yes, we'll I was told Ford would only be making 8000 RS's. They actually made 12,000! 8000 of which were sold in this country alone.

Like the look of the Black one Skoda has on the website. Looks WAY better than I thought it would! Have I been too rash getting a White one?

Still, nevermind. I just can't wait to get it. And the leather interior shot on the Skoda website looks FAB!

Thanks for clearing up the leather seat issue chaps, note that Skoda could not sell the 500 of the LE's. I know as I bought one "new" in 2009. Shame really, as this was a tempting offer given the chance of some "fancier" seats than the standard leather ones in the VRS. Well that is me convinced to buy a set of black Neptune off Ebay for £650, use my Nokia 800 for Sat Nav (£20 holder off ebay) and wait another year to see what the story is about the VRS III. Or go for a Superb Estate CR170 4x4.

As I hoped the dealer left a message this morning. I do get the £500 and the free servicing. He didn't say anything about the options or delivery date though.

Are you just looking at the tiny pic, I can not find a bigger one.

The tiny pic buddy. Small, yes. But enough to see how fab it looks all black!

Still love my white choice though.........

Cars now 'on the system's getting close to a date. I wonder if they will be landed 17/09

Does the Octavia DSG come with a 7 or 6 speed box? I thought they had recently updated to the 7 speed one. Has anyone got any feedback on the 7 peed DSG?

thanks

The Vrs DSG is the 6 speed version. I like it and can't see myself going back to a manual gearbox

I ordered a blackline race blue dsg estate on saturday and they must have been on the system then because he selected the vehicle from the computer screen in front of me, was told that they were in the country and to expect delivery at the end of september. lets hope the dealer is correct !!!

Now told mine is being "made" expect 2.5 weeks worst case.

Popped into the dealer yesterday - I was initially told "end of September", but my update was: "The good news is we definitely have your name against a vehicle, but the bad news is it's looking more like October..."

Surely Skoda UK should be sending this into out to all of the Dealers, so everyone is singing from the same song sheet?

I'm not too concerned, anyway. It'll get here when it gets here...

I've been a pest, I've changed my mind a couple of times and I'm sure I've annoyed the retailer/garage. I've changed from a white manual VRS to a blue DSG VRS. I've also called Skoda and they have confirmed my order is on the system (they even provided me with my 8 digit order number). My car is built (so clearly these are pre-built - as my order was only updated this morning) and its sitting at Emden dock. Been told to expect delivery in 2 - 3 weeks.

The Skoda agent also confirmed the cars are not numbered in any way or have any Blackline insignia. He said they are selling extremely quickly and they are advising people that if they don't order in the next couple of days they will be gone.

I've never owned a VRS (never mind a Skoda before) so feel the Blue is a nice colour to get seeing as its VRS specific- one minute I love the white the next I'm not so sure on it. I've never driven an auto or DSG before so just hope it was the right decision (though I have been wanting an auto for a while now).

Hope everyone who orders gets theres soon.

You will love the DSG. Im on my 2nd. Have had a few torque converter autos also and the DSG compares favourably with them. DSG is slightly better in almost every way to a normal auto except for one thing - creep on take off which makes hill starts easier. DSG is still a doddle on hill starts jsut jump quickly from brake to throttle and you will never have an issue.

Anyone else been given delivery dates? OP?

Nope. I was hoping someone has!

I was told I MIGHT get my car last week of Sept, but PROBABLY early Oct.

This is sheer hell.

Contact skoda uk with your order number dealers tend to be useless at finding info out

No specific date, called Skoda with order number, car is made and ready for shipping, but likely to be about 3 weeks before it arrives. Has anyone tried that track my Skoda site? Is it legit? When I try it with my number it comes back (rather quickly) that it's awaiting production slot which is incorrect.

I suspect we will get them early Oct.

Track my skoda only works for vehicles ordered with rainworth skoda. If they are waiting shipping it shouldnt be too long usually 2-3 weeks sometimes even quicker
