Has anyone been given a delivery date for the Blackline Octavia VRS?

Featured Replies

Skoda Nottingham have got a Blackline in. They tried to flog it to me last week but I'm not interested in diesels, and the inside looks nice but personally I wasn't keen on the white with black wheels.

Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

Interesting to see that Skoda Uk are still saying that there are only 500 on their website despite many people saying there are more. Wonder what is the truth? Changed my VRS Estate earlier than I would have done into a new Blackline having been sold the idea there would only be the 500.

Love the car but feel a little conned.

500 + an additional 100 estates so 600 total. They sold so well that SUK decided it sensible to comission another 100 cars though as the hatch production line had been stopped to produce the MK3 hatch they could only order estates. Those 100 cars are selling like hot cakes too (in fact would be surprised if any are left).

Frankly Im glad as i was about to factory order a CR DSG vRS estate anyway as didnt want to end up paying through the nose for a new one in 6 to 12 months time. The Blackline being available saved me approx 2k and £30/month in payments, so im not arguing! :-)

Its also technically not a real limited edition, its not numbered or anything. Skoda just took the initiative to try and shift a few more units before the production run of the MK2 stops completely.

While also not keen or so bothered on the black wheels, if this is the only negative thing about the car then I am happy to live with it!

Just seen then car in the garage awaiting the PDI and have to say it looks bl**dy amazing! No pics yet guys.

I have bought the right car - roll on next Saturday...

no pictures of mine yet either! since I got it all it's done is snow and the car is filthy  , might just pull it out now and attempt to was it!

Hmmm, not sure I would make my buying decision on whether something was a limited edition or not, but we all have our own reasons to buy stuff.

doesn't really make any difference how many they made, still a bit special and a bargain to boot! love mine already

I had always intended to change for a new one ( this is my 4th ) & it was a good deal, just bought earlier than I would have done. Still feel its a bit of misleading advertising from Skoda.

Got mine today!!! Flew to Coventry and drove back to Aberdeen. Comfortable drive and good conditions on the road, for bout 200 miles I was about the only person on the road. Talk sport on DAB happy days. Average 43mpg poor but the engine is still tight.

Tomorrow's job wash it!! It's no longer white :-))))

they do get dirty easy but come up nice with a wash, mines gleaming again today.

Apparently Skoda valeted my car before I picked it up on Tuesday, not quite sure how they do a valet but my idea of a valet is different to theirs.. it had bird crap on the window and muck splattered up the doors and gungy stuff on the drivers sill! I can see why they didn't clean the inside of the wheels though, when I did the rear wheels I shredded my knuckles twice on the disc backing plate :( . gonna have to invest in something to clean those wheels with..

Just bought these wheel woolies for my wheels- not cheap but there again good stuff isn't. these and some Bilberry juice and you'll be a happy bunny

Angelwax also do decent stuff but their postage is a bit expensive unless you buy a number of items

I've got the kent vesion of the one matty uses above, but mine's too fat to get between the calipers and the rim on the front. Simple solution would be to do the other sections then move the car a bit but I can't be bothered doing that to all 4 wheels. The medium brush gets between the front caliper and rim with no probs so you can get right to the back of the rim and the little one is good for doing the fiddly bits. I find I end up knocking the front of rims with the handle using the kent one too when I'm trying to do the back of the rims.

Your choice obviously but they do get good reviews and there's 10% off at the mo at into detail too.

All the best

What the story on mats? Mine are plain black no logo's is tht correct ? Also I don want them wrecked, rubber mas from the dealer or are tere better options?

After 20yrs of new cars from Japan and Korea including a Subaru wrx, with never a problem I've just changed to the dark side and ordered a vrs blackline, delivered to the dealers last Friday, waiting for preparation and looks like its been parked up somewhere for months, anyway should pick it up soon,is it one of the extra 100 or 1 of the missing 500........I've read good things about skoda vrs so let's wait and see after reading the few bad post on this siteand at fully comp, protected at £137 it's looking good, ,,,,,,,,yes I'm old

You'll be fine. As is reiterated alot, most people only post negative thing on forums, and the rest are enthusiasts who really give a f*%ck about their cars. My Blackline has been fine from day 1, and to be honest, the customer service from my local dealer has been spot on! B)

Ordered myself a blackline last Friday. It'll be a white VRS DSG estate CR 170.

The dealership offered me a deal on my toyota hilux that I couldn't really refuse so went for it. The deposit contribution and free servicing came as a nice surprise to though.

It'll be my first Skoda and although it took a random stroll round the car retail park for me to walk in I'm glad I did. Service is spot on so far @ Simpson Skoda in Preston.

Stumbled upon the forum through google, read quite a bit about delivery dates etc and then found the handy mic trick so going to order myself a mic to get fitted and enabled on the BT system.

Expected delivery date so far is end of Jan or early Feb.

Owned a few guzzlers so far including the Hilux but my favourite was my Mazda 3 mps running 320bhp and 500nm. Hoping the fuel bill will be slightly less with the VRS though :giggle:

That the one with the Seat garage next to it?

Yep that's the one, on Bury New Road!

Didn't end up collecting over the weekend, due to a finance debacle (me not them!), but now collecting it next Saturday-(working away in Cardiff in the week). Can't wait, microphone is already waiting, and I'm going to order the MFSW from Skodateille, then it's just a case of finding someone to install it / code it for me (and work out whether I need to be the SW controller!)

Hope you enjoy it. Loving my Blackline and you won't be disappointed! :)

I'm sure I won't, currently in an 08 pre-fl VRS which I love. Was going to keep hold for another 6-12months, but when I got told they'd sourced the blackline - I couldnt afford not to! (£500.00 deposit contribution, servicing, extras and back to having a warranty) .....yes yes that's how I justified it to my self (and SWMBO) too ;)

Mats are correct. I bought a set of rubber mats from my dealer so my carpet ones didn't get ruined

Long Time - No Update.

My BlueBlackline is now white (probably like everyone else's :)

2200 miles since October - a steady 50mpg average - and, yes, I do know what the right pedal is for !!

£196 Fully Comp, after all discounts etc

People I work with saw it on the first week I had it & STILL comment on how good it looks !!!!

As I went to ORDER a SEConnect Estate and was SOLD UP, I really should buy the Salesman Russell a Bottle

Best car I've EVER owned by FAR and this one's a keeper :)

196 fully comp is cheap, I have 7years + no claims, and my wife is included. Mid thirties and paying a lot more! I do plan to shop around when it expires.

Hopefully I'll see you around, I work in Cardiff and have a white vrs estate

I'll keep my eyes out for you! I've noticed a couple of VRS around the area, but can never remember when or where i've seen them by the time I get back to my comp to post in SPOTTED!

picked mine up an hour ago. Now sitting in the dealership while they try and work out why the warning lights for ESC, ABS, power steering and tyre pressure kept coming on. :(
