Manny - sounds like a clash with Trax weekend? As long as it avoids that I'd say game on! (18th?)

Trax is the 4th September, the weekend before. Looking at the weekend of the 17th/18th there isnt much tracktime that weekend, only on Sunday and very late monday. I think we may have to run with the 10th September, which is the following weekend. That will make the intinerary thus.

Sat 10/9 - Make our way to the ring.

Sun 11/9 - A full day at the track.

Mon 12/9 - AM, Sightseeing/recovery from the night before, PM - At the track

Tue 13/9 - Make our way back home.

I think travel and accomodation wise it might be an idea to make your own arrangements, I will however post some details of places to stay and website links/phone numbers once I have more info. If people want to travel in groups thats ok, its just that some prefer to drive faster than others or take different routes.

Current list

1) Mannyo

2) devonutopia (jason) (that enough of a discussion? )

3) Wrightyrs(Alex) + 2 Cars(Brother+Friend)

4) ColinD + (The Brisk Stig)

5) Jonny5ive - interested in principal subject to a bit more info

6) ffelan - im in. TaviaRS will be my co-pilot.

Can't do that weekend as I'm away till the 20th :(

Mannyo,

if your going over before to do a reccy i'd love to come along aswell

If you get a map of Germany and can Find Bonn and Cologne' date=' its in that kind of area. If you cant find Nurburg, look for Adenau.

I am popping over in a few weeks to get some info on places to stay etc, but Ben Lovejoys website is a good starting point

I am going over to Germany on the 16th July to get some more info and see what b&b's are close to the circuit. I'll post my findings on return.

Just to whet your appetite a bit this is a pic from last weekend. of my Furby. (350Z photo shows what else can happen here!) Best hotel for atmosphere is the Tiergarten in Nurburg at about 70 euro for a single, 90 euro for a double. This is run by Sabine Schmitz's family & the lady herself often works in the restaurant which has an amazing collection of racing history on the walls.

For info join the Ringers list which is referenced on Bens site.

I currently work over here & have met up with Carsten at the track.

Best times to learn the track are at 8.00 on Sunday morning, 18.00 Sunday evening & weekday evenings.

I forgot the name of the hotel we stayed at, but it only cost us 35 euro's for 2 nights for 2 people! Was about a 5 mins drive from the ring but by the time the 306 was at the ring the engine had warmed up!

I am going over this weekend (sat to mon), I'll hopefully have some more info by Tuesday next week which I'll post here.

I'm going on the 30th July - till the 2nd August!

Hull to Rotterdamn and on through germany???

You must have a HUGE wallet if you want to go that way.

I'm not involved in the planning of this in any way, but would have thought that dover - calais then across the corridor into belgium, up past antwerp and over into germany. I say past antwerp, the other way is through brussels, but the brussels ring can be worse than the m25, time dependant of course.

You don't go via Brussels, there's a better way

I used to go via antwerp, not much in it distance wise, but it always saved me time. Mind you, there are sure to be other ways. I was restricted somewhat by being in a 44ton truck. Don't really know the fastest car routes as such, but i'm sure they cant be too differant. Used to go that way very regularly into germany.
