A passenger lap ? Anytime

its about time you got a set of Kw's fitted and blast that combi round the track!

Just need to find myself a job in Germany, any iSeries/AS400's about?

Anyone seen the gorgeous girl that works in the Ring Cafe? WOW!

He did, with me in the passenger seat back in July. Did several laps with him and very good they were to, and on standard suspension.

Yep the girl in the Ring Cafe is

looking forward to seeing her in a few weeks time,so 8th-10th Oct anyone????

Just a few more days to go now, Hopefully everyone will make it to the track in one piece without getting to lost on the way.

I'll be getting up bright and early on Saturday morning at the small hour of 4am before setting off for Dover via my cousins house in London.

AS400 Jobs are available over here. :)

The suspension is OK, the weak point are the cheap tyres :D

On the other hand:. The Octy is nothing for the Ring, it is my everyday car

to travel between Frankfurt and Bonn.

Still thinking of building up a track toy.. ( But even this will eat up minimum 5000 Euros  )

This Sun? Maybe I'll come up.

I should be there on Sat night/Sunday morning in the Tiergarten if Fr Schmitz can get me a cancellation on a room.If you want to eat in the Pistenklaus under the Tiergarten get a reservation in as it is usually booked solid Sat night.

I should be in a red Boxster or red vRS in the car park Sunday am. Try & get on track at 08.00 Sunday if you are new. Later it gets very busy & very dangerous unless you have 360deg vision. DO read the safety advice on Bens site, try & bring a helmet.

All those of you who are coming along the 69/258 from J38, be very careful if you have lowered suspension. The Belgian section is known locally as "the road to hell". I have driven along better cart tracks. Ripping out the sump plug is possible here.

Above all don't try & go faster than Clarkson on your first laps. You will crash! What the devious ******* didn't say was that he had been here many times over on various courses & that it definitely wasn't his first time. It takes most people about 40 laps before they can even remember what corner comes next. Everyone, has a very big learning experience when they drive here. Crashing is very, very expensive after you have paid 170 euro for a tow off the track, 1200 euro for the damage to the armco, 400 euro for the safety car, 500 euro for closure time,1500 euro for a tow back to UK then the cost of damage to the car!!!!

Look forward to meeting you all.

I'm a "ring" virgin, and your advice seems very sensible indeed. See you all there. I'll be arriving Sat afternoon myself.

Sorry to here that mike, have you managed to rebook the ferry crossing, at such short notice you can do it but the penalty for such a late cancellation can be huge.

Mike if your going in October what weekend are you planning on going?

i'm going over on the 8th-10th October if you interested in meeting up.

Just one of those thing I guess, I've only just found out so I'll get on to that next!

I'm ticked right off today, I was looking forward to the trip as was kim (she was looking forward to the beer mostly). Atleast we can go over with Wrighty in October.

Alex,

Yep very much I could do with some tips from someone who has been a few times ;)

What time are you head on out over to the ring on saturday? I'll see if I can re-book for around the same sort of time

getting a tunnel crossing for between 10-11am on the Saturday.

Hopefully get to the Ring/Hotel at approx 6pm ready for dinner then to bed early so that i can get out on the circuit at 8am on the Sunday morning.

trying to get a room at the Tiergarten Hotel again as its up the road,a twin/double room is 90 Euros per night including breakfast.

Cool, if I can get the same sort of time out could I follow you to the ring or atleast the rough area. As I have the direction skills of a blair witch groupie

No problem Mike, let me know what time you book for and your expected arrival time in France and we'll arrange to meet at the first service station in Belgium if you want.

You can follow me all the way,i'll probably be with 1 other car at least, maybe 2.
