Nothing has been done to my car, honest!* ;)

Its completely standard, ask my dealer, he'll tell you :D

PS Anyone wanna buy an uprated clutch? Nice AP Organic one, just short of a paddle clutch. Will fit a RS, I have 2.

* When I say nothing, I mean it has had some minor tweeks but nothing substantial, yet.

Yep, in fact you'd probably get upset at the slow pace. I usually put the cruise control on between 3000 and 3250 revs and just sit there. :D

Skoda, are you listening? FIT CRUISE CONTROL AS STANDARD!

Sounds 'bout right. What time will you be passing the aforementioned Spine Road junction then?

PS don't think I can have cruise with my throttle-cable controlled engine :(

According to Skoda technical, I can't have it retro fitted to mine :(

But I have :D

Yeah I know but it works by just interfacing with the ECU whereas my throttle control is mechanical and would require the old servos and two throttle cables approach, n'est ce pas?

Err, why just the other day a friend of mine was asking about uprated clutches, umm how much shall I say.

Des

Je sais pas, mais c'est possible :(

Arse, got interuppted by the member for Chaythum central.

Des, not sure yet, I'll let you know so you can tell your friend. Its the complete assembly (pressure plate, housing and release bearing). Probably about £175 - £200 + the dreaded.

So when you say nothing has been done, what car do you have and what bhp have you 'tweaked' it to? ;-)

I have an Octavia 1.4 16V

Its got a RS style bodykit

Its got some 17" wheels

Its got a full decat exhaust

Its got KW variant 3 fully adjustable suspension

Powerflex bushes and roll bar mounts

Some minor engine tweeking to produce a little more power than standard (up about 50%) ie about 95bhp

Uprated clutch goes in next week

As I say, just minor stuff at this point

Jon

whatever...

and mines std too....:D

Hmmmm - It didn't quite feel like that to me! Have you managed to flatten out the hand grip dents in your passenger door handle yet? :D

PS: I also left some good "metaphoric braking" dents at the bottom of the passenger floorpan too, sorry*

:D

Now just plain confused who you work for. Possibly Mondial/RAC customer care in a call centre role, maybe VAG UK Marketing, or maybe some MI8 anti-fun team if you are located in London ?

dents in your passenger door handle yet

No, it would appear that you still have the door handle clutched in your sweaty little mitt. Polish out the dents and send it back would you. :D

Oh I forgot, I've also uprated the brakes, thanks for reminding me Jason :D

Next mod is to fit neck braces to all my passengers :D

neck braces or neck pillows? Something comfy for when they are sleeping...

Its not a 4x4 Ian :D

true, they'd be better off with ear defenders and motion sickness tablets.

Thems the ones :D

"1.4 16v".......that's the best one I've heard in ages.

...next you'll be saying it's pretty boy blue.;)

No its balck with white flecks. Hey, the badge says it a 1.4 16v, who am I to argue. :)

Special edition, a true one off

No, I do work for Skoda Customer Services, we are based here in Surrey. We are a satellite office of VAG Head Office at Milton Keynes, simply as there wasn't enough space for us poor relations and SEAT nabbed the offices destined for us... *sniffs haughtily*

I don't know what I can say to convince you that I am here to satisfy personal curiosity;would it help for me to share some more personal info so you can blackmail me if I ever let anything slip?

I like the cars and I like the passion they inspire in you guys. I love reading the forums threads, because you all seem to be *so* up to date on the world of Skoda, more so than us half the bloody time!!!

Like I say, Skoda pay me ok, but not well enough to be their lickle spy!

text2schild.php?text=David Beckham has run out of hair ideas &typ=11&col=0,0,0&shcol=255,255,255

Take no notice LL, I don't.

Des

What, Des! You a spy too? :p
