Yep, ease it off all the way round with your fingers, then pull it straight down. It will be obvious how to put it back on after you've taken it off.

Most agree not worth using just Nitrogen in tyres...

For £5 / 4 tyres ...i dont mind:

Nitrogen filling is fine (get my tyres at Costco, who have been inflating with nitrogen for 3 or 4 years). However, when you start adjusting your pressures for loaded / unloaded etc., the nitrogen soon becomes diluted with air (which is 78% nitrogen, by volume, anyway)

I watched a survey on TV (Might have been Top Gear) and putting in Nitrogen made no difference at all

Tiff on Fifth Gear did it - under some form of controlled conditions and yes found no improvement.

Used to check every month - but got to the point I got lazy besides modern tyres seems to hold air pretty good.

My other car had Nitrogen for 7months - though I only driven 3500 miles in her - her tyres still as they were 7months ago!
