250 wheel power

340 max power

at 4500 rpm

now lets move up to 4800 rpm

240 wheel power

357 max power

thats an increse of 27 bhp in just 300 rpm

please explain this bull how can teh wheel power fall and the max power keep raising ?

you have a 280bhp car at the most MAXIMUM

I suppose this vRS needs to be put on a dyno that is proven to give accurate figures, such as a DynoDynamics or Mustang. There are a few points to make 1 - The stock GTB2260VK will do around 310bhp

Wow i would love a car thats 280bhp with no nos or water meth :)

Cool. Keep us updated.

I feel in gear timed runs would be more suitable? there are too many variables down a quarter. Especially as it stands the other car has no LSD or semi slick tires etc suppose it would do for a half decent comparison. My opinion of course

Kilner. Seen as your so against this car being such high power. Why dont YOU pay for it to be put on a hub dyno.

At the end of the day the cars a very fast diesel. Speedy/dean has not once made a topic about his car being x amount of power. Both topics have been made by other users.

So instead of putting him down about all the hard work hes put into this car and doubting the dyno pritout, put ur money where your mouth is, and put it on a dyno. Or are you just another keyboard warrior?

ok ill put it on a dyno

if it makes 350+ i will pay if not they pay

as for them puting a lot of work in they allrdy said

its an unopened pd130

so just a turbo and injectors i would not call that a lot of work also considering they stole half of the curent designs from the other company :)

they are welcome to the TDOCUK meat at RSTuning

darkside will be ther to prove ther power what i am paying for so DTD are also invited to backup ther power figures

i hardly see why i should have to pay for people to go out and get a real dyno test done but if thats what it takes then thats what im game for

btw rstuning dyno over reads by around 10bhp

and im hardly a keeyboard warrior im just not another sheep that follows the pack beleiving everything he is told

and i speak my mind

There are a few points to make

1 - The stock GTB2260VK will do around 310bhp if you ignore EMPs, the 3.0 Tdi guys are struggling above 320bhp.

2 - To get anywhere near 300bhp you need a camshaft or headwork. There is not enough airflow above 270bhp on the 8v Head.

3 - Without an Injector Lobe change on the camshaft, Injectors with any larger than the Firad 80%s nozzles fitted results in a massive loss of pressure in the Injector body, meaning poor atomization (white smoke at idle, black when under load), not nice on a daily driver.

We have done a lot of experimenting with this setup so if these figures were possible I think we would have it. With the exact setup and a race cam, just over 300bhp was achieved without NOS and acceptable EMPs and EGTs.

We are planning a Dyno Day very soon. This car can go on free of charge and you can watch what we do with it.

Thanks

Scott

scott i will pay for ther run

kilner your also a "newbie" try having a little bit more respect and decorum .. why the **** are you putting these down so much .. regardless of wether its bull**** or not a dyno can only read what it reads!!!! agreed they should have been more clearer and stated what mods but FFS chill the **** out with your replies man!!!

JELOUSY GETS YOU NO WHERE " FACT "

im not jelous of anything i have my own 2260vk means nothing to me

in all fairness im sticking up for the diesel community you get feed so much **** that you all seem to belive and praise people on when it is TOTAL bull****

carnt you see most of these big claims are the same as when a company like jbs claim more power than any one else from a remap and then it turns out to be a load of crap

i am the bull**** warden you post **** up like that your goin to get found out like they have

if they make 350bhp i will hand them over £100 in cash and also pay for the dyno run

darkside have just offerd them a run on ther dyno but i suppose that would not be acceptable ?

What dyno was this run on so i can take my car on it to make me feel good about myself?

This dyno offers more bhp increase than a 16v boot badge! Now thats class

look everyone on here has there own mind if these people wana bullsh1t let them get on with it who gives a ****!! really>>>

agreed they get found out but hawayy man any reason to be so negative and agressive about it ?? as a newbie your not doing yourself any favours mate

but how is this dyno wrong as i thought they can only tell people what the dyno says and in this case if it is bull**** its the people who built the dyno that need the ****

To be fair having a large post count doesn't mean you know more than someone with a lesser one, look at me...1k posts and imnstill clueless :p

i dont mean to be agresive im just stating facts

and after all they are a tuning company who aparantly map ther own cars so if they think the result is fishy they should admit it

not just go along with it

i would expect some one who has no idea about tuning that went on a dyno day to react like they have

but these people are supposed to have experiance

they were only expecting 300 max power and aparantly they are running a toned down version of ther full power map as this was only making 2.4bar boost rather than the 2.7 bar they normally run for big power

all these little things should point out that these results are not correct and they should of been the first people to point this out and correct it rather than having some one like me come along and give my opinion

this is a forum after all

if a guy says put 100psi in the car tyre to a woman that has no idea

are you goin to disagree or agree with him ?

so on this ocasion i disagree with the dyno and made it very clear why

Nice offer from Darkside and I don't see why anyone wouldnt take that offer up! Can I on a my lowly Fabia beast? :D

Oh I do love posts like this :D

ok well if they can claim that i am claiming this

sorry the printer was running out of ink

:) i now have the fastest UNOPENED PD170

the prinout says so and i belive it :)

post-94396-0-33707500-1361396248_thumb.jpg

Nahhhhhh your PD170 isnt the fastest

JBS Told me when they did mine originally, they could only supply me with a graph that had 235bhp on it but..... one of the runs it made 400bhp they just deleted the run by accident so couldn't put it on the graph

look everyone on here has there own mind if these people wana bullsh1t let them get on with it who gives a ****!! really>>>

agreed they get found out but hawayy man any reason to be so negative and agressive about it ?? as a newbie your not doing yourself any favours mate

dyno runs can be manipulated. the transmission losses for a standard mk1 Fabia vRS seem crazy high. the criticism will be down to 'alleged' (I know who I believe) history

Absolutlely.

I have extensively used a dynomite dyno before to tune my other car - which is a never ending sorry, something simply like correction factor temps or ratio can change the figures, as long as it intersects at 5252rpm

It is very difficult to post this without being totally shot down but some of you guys were correct with regards to the figures we posted. In my defense we paid our money, along with many other enthusiasts, to get a honest dyno run, but since then we have found that the figures we were given were incorrect. We have since returned and done a rerun and found we were about 40 Bhp down. Should we ask for our money back, or realize that all dyno runs can easily be fixed.

I suppose on a positive the weather was good, people were passionate and the burgers were great but the results a waste of time, we move on and soon will prove we do have a very powerful TDI

New graph?

I give the clutch about a week.

Haha! Made me chuckle!

Will never be as fast as a type R :p

Don't worry there will be a run down the pod at some point! Keep your eyes peeled!

1/4 mile's dont really prove anything, T.Spark ran a 13.5 with only 220bhp

if you get a **** launch then its game over

30-130 on the other hand gives a better idea of a cars real performance ;)
