A spare parts question

Featured Replies

Has anyone tried to source a replacement bumper-integrated brake light cover? Just tried my skoda dealer and I'm told I need to buy the entire bumper unit! The light cover is cracked (probably in a car park because I didn't notice it for some time) and it seems weird that this is not replaceable without doing the whole bumper unit.

Wow, not good news if you are not able to source just the light lens etc.

I'm confused.

There are no brake lights in the rear bumper; they are totally seperate. The only "light" in the rear bumper is the reflector, and those are available seperately.

Could the OP please clarify exactly what light they mean?

Quite right - it is a reflector, not a brake light. And the nice people in customer services at Skoda UK explained to me that because the reflector is listed under 'electrical' parts, rather than 'body' parts, the nice people at my local dealership had failed to find it as a separate item. Armed with the part number I went back to the dealership and ordered - cost is less than a tenner.

Result.

Numpties!
