  • Well it's still an impressive car and it still is clearly a Yeti.  Just that the tiny bit they moved it on, does not warrant the cost-to-change numbers for me.  It has not remotely moved on enough fro

I phoned up the dealer today just to triple check they'd ordered an outdoor for me after watching that vid.

I've ordered the outdoor.

Right - for me, anyway.  Outdoor just looks better - better clearance, too.

Great video, especially as there is no commentary, with a good showing of Jungle Green

Info from dealer today said my new beast to be built week 47 ,,,, when do you think I'll actually set eyes on it ?

Could be before Xmas, if you work on approx 3 wks from build to delivery.

Was wk 47 the original build date you were given, or was it put back/brought forward?

Lucky you, as my build is wk 50.

First build date I've asked for tbh , I only ordered a few weeks ago, will be delighted if it arrives before Xmas

Mine was wk 02 now back to wk 04, Outdoor L&K

Really not keen on those polished Annapurna wheels.

Me neither. Changed them to Origamis.

I fail to see why one needs a Yeti Outdoor to complete that "cross country" run.

I have had the Octavia down rougher tracks = check.

Through deeper water = check

Across much muddier/sloping terrain = check

The only bit that might balk the Octavia would be the cross axle twisty bits, not through loss of traction since the weight of the diesel engine would keep the front end down. but simply because she might bottom out, sufficient to get hung up.

But I reckon I could pick a line that would get me through.

So I will give it a go if someone ponys up the cost of getting me and our car to the forest track in the CZ.

cheers

It's a marketing video, not an example of it's outright hardcore (or lack of) off road credentials.

99% of owners will never tackle terrain like in the video anyway.

I guess making a video of it driving on the road in straight line would be boring if you survived the part with the white indoor version before it. ( I skipped ahead)

Must say that metal grey in the group photo (with the Shark Blue Outdoor in the front) looks great.  There's two metal grey ones and one behind the Shark blue. Classy colour. Dark but not too dark.  In this image:

Then in this image it seems to suggest there is a storage compartment for the driver where the light switch is?

LHD only perhaps? I certainly don't have storage there...

Maybe an addition on the FL perhaps?

Is that not the glasses case?

Probably, in RHD that's where the fusebox is.

Is that not the glasses case?

Glasses case is above rear view mirror........keep up Dale!

People are jesting with you but you are correct in fact. The angles of the image just distorted the position a bit... and I think they have shown it perhaps a little bit too back from the mirror.  But yes I agree with you this is the glasses case.  Case solved!

Metal Grey is the colour I would go for. Subtle but classy at the same.

Want to see a Jungle Green to see how it looks in the flesh as I'm still undecided.

I think I've been converted to Shark Blue having seen it on an older model Yeti.

Mums one?  ;)

The Shark Blue looks well, a good few shades brighter than the Aqua that it replaced.

I saw a Shark Blue Yeti in Lee's car park at Preston Motors this very morning! It does look good. But Metal Grey a tad classier albeit a bit sober like my Steel Grey.
