Surely you have already invalidated it by fitting the struts to the bonnet, as they're non standard parts.

I've got all the original bolts so could swap it back if needed and they'd be non the wiser. Same with the mudflaps.

If anyone is inclined to ask I would be very interested in the reply!

Whos going to ask their dealer on Lady Lola's behalf?

Thanks for volunteering James :)

Do you have any others planned? :)

Well wedo have the same dealer, so probably makes sense me doing it. Will take a run up there at some point over the next week. Or may just email them

Do you have any others planned? :)

No, she doesnt! Strutting her stuff is enough for now!!

Just a rear facing camera for now. And some of Dedders amusing blank button covers lol but I dont know if they will stay or not - depends how they look

A rear camera? Even worse than a forward facing once.

Mr 458, has your prefered driving experience been given the camera's yet?

Surely those strutty things wouldn't invalidate a warranty would they?

Bit of a poo if they do coz I nearly hit the checkout button tonight! :(

I can only see it being a problem for a jobs worth dealer if the bonnet went out of line or corrosion started where the screws have been replaced.

Chances of both are pretty slim. But even if it did it should only effect those two areas. Can't be blamed for a seat falling apart really!

I cant see that they would. They arent changing the mechanics of the car or how it drives.

Just ask Wanderer what to do with the struts!

I cant see that they would. They arent changing the mechanics of the car or how it drives.

Problem is though, some places dont need any excuse to make a guarentee/ warranty invalid. Whether its fair or not. Thats probably what Wanderer is thinking

Hmmm, not sure what to do now, might consult my friendly dealer before I commit

Are the kit components VW /Skoda approved part No.

That may determine the answer to the question being raised.

Safety approved, for example, on crash impact etc. in worst scenario.

Or bonnet not closing effectively?

Similar in it's way too the Tuning Box issue.

Supplier liability?

It's an aftermarket non OEM part so it will invalidate the warranty on whatever it's attached to, i.e. the bonnet and inner wings....

Neily03,

Totally agree, that is my view.

It's the risk analysis game, when applying such mods /components.

Ah well, having (touch wood) never had a problem with the bonnet and inner wings Im not too worried. Plus I can put it back to factory standard in a jiffy :)

Have emailed our salesman, but as yet no response. Not sure if he's in or not, as he never replied to my last email a week or so back

Lady,

That's the calculated risk you.

However, hope all works out okay. :whew:

Yep well hopefully all will be well. The bonnet hasnt exploded yet, so will check it over on the weekend and make sure nothing is showing any signs of stress :)

So Oscar has gone to retirement at the auctions and the newbie has arrived!

Loving driving it so far and am quickly getting used to a manual again after 6 years of an autobox. Canton sounds good, seats are comfy, looks fabulous, very enjoyable to drive

Only minor points so far - I need rubber foot mats as the fabric ones are filthy thanks to crappy weather. The fabric on the seats and the interior being black makes dust, dirt and the annoying white undercoat hairs on my dogs show up very very easily lol. So its going to drive me nuts and make me clean it all the time lol. Also no screen protector on the amundsen so will be visiting flea bay for one of those.

So....... some photos! Yeah there will be loads!

Here is Oscar for comparison......
