We've started having tinker with the 2.0TDI 184PS

Ford is very UK-centric though with dedicated UK development teams. Even Vauxhall have toyed with legit upgrades for VXRs and Thorney Motorsport and their performance centres etc. However, with VRS seemingly outstripping sales of other models (if this forum is anything to go by - or maybe we are just more excitable?) it is something the might come round to in time.. but back to my original comment, Ford/GM manage most of it's UK market activity more effectively and both have always understood the UK sales potential of performance. Are all markets the same as us though? Don't get me wrong, I'm all in favour of it! And for the record, a mild-upgrade is well within tolerances for any vehicle. I've run a +45% power increase in a GM v6 for ten years and it's maintained routine service / maintenance intervals with no unexpected failures, that's NA though, with far more intrusive modifications.

Fantastic UK /Gmbh SME too go large then, on the back of a Global market Supplier.

Growing the business is about evaluating the Risk and having the product confidence to take on the World!!

Ford /Mountune .Cost for Fiesta ST £599 installed and warranty not affected.

Why can't you cover with some extended warranty insurance. Perhaps this could be incorporated into you pending price increase.

Andrew,question.

Why aren't you and your German sister company not doing as Mountune operation. (i.e. Ford UK on their Fiesta ST)?

Proper development with full approval.

Too difficult and expensive?

Have you even entertained the thought?

DTE do actually have a relationship with VW in Belgium or Holland. As for proper development I'm not sure what we've been doing this last 6 months?

as for approval, although the systems aren't manufacturer approved they have passed stringent TUV tests in Austria and Germany.

Well after much deliberation, I bought and fitted one of these... and it has to be said that it was worth every single penny. It is the best tuning investment for the money I have ever bought. I don't want to get into the continuing debate as to whether you should fit one of these or not to a brand new car, but I am more than happy to give constructive feedback to those who are interested...

Firstly, the support from Andrew giving me answers to the many questions I asked was exceptional, and I can say that the information given was objective and not purely a sales pitch. I actually ordered the wrong box by mistake and Andrew personally contacted me to make me aware, he also personally ensured I received exactly what I wanted and the item was received the very next day. The cynics may say that of course he would do this to sell me his product, but this simply wasn't the case. He was genuinely being helpful.

Secondly, the unit and the harness assembly was extremely easy to fit, it took me around 20 minutes, but that was with me dressing the loom in so that it was not obvious to any stray eye. Also the quality of the connectors is first rate and connected perfectly to the existing plug/sockets. The unit itself looks OEM if installed in the right place. I ordered the black unit with black seal and then removed the DTUK sticker to make it low key. I have removed and re-installed the unit now on about 6 different occasions with no warning lights appearing. You just have to remember to wait 5 minutes for the cars electrics to power down.

Thirdly, and most importantly, the difference in performance was INSTANTLY noticeable! Power delivery was excellent across all gears and feels 'natural'. In fact it holds the power through the gears more like a petrol engine... I ran The default setting of the software for a week and then experimented with other settings, I have had the unit fitted for 4 weeks now with no problems at all. I have taken friends out in the car and they think it is excellent, I have also upset more than one Audi A4 SLine and BMW 3 series driver!

As I mentioned, people have negative opinions about this subject, and I am not affiliated with Andrew or DTUK in anyway, but I thought I would share my positive opinions with people who may be interested in this option for their cars, especially as I can report first hand.. So I really can recommend this to anybody who is interested, it has been money well spent

thanks for the feedback Steve, it makes all the hours we have worked on this project worthwhile.

How is that promoted to the potential customer in some form of reassurance?

So why not do a Mountune type relationship then?

Andrew

Hope that you are reassured by the replies , so much so that you will purchase a unit and take the Risk.

Sorry if you think it's a smart arse approach but this forum is here to help each other out in all aspects. Especially protecting our hard earned cash. No apology for that !

just incase anyone else doubts me, £5m worth of product liability insurance in place should anything go pear shaped..

And enough assets within Diesel Tuning UK LTD to cover it too, one of the perks of dealing with an honest hard working soul like myself that works 19 hours a day 7 days a week.. (if you don't believe me as her on doors as she would say..  :@  :@

Hi Andrew,

Happy new year to you and family as well.
I see little one is playing the piano now?

A mixed answer to your question.

For the Juicy Products - Cleaning Products - the Public and Products Liability cover is £2,000,000 as this is insured under a separate policy to the main motor trade policy.
For the mail order of the Diesel Tuning Kits, the Public and Products Liability is £5,000,000

Hope this information is all O.K ?

Speak soon.

It's your patronising tone that I find boring, Keith. By all means debate and educate. but don't assume the rest of us can't make up our own minds without your help.

You've made your point (lots of times).

Glad you have made up your own mind ,I was trying to make up mine

I was trying too get clear answers and legal reassurance and unfortunately that is not borne out in the numbers given above .

Legally my Skoda Warranty cost are not covered.

Purely the cost of the DTUK unit.

+1 to this.

Just checked back in with this thread and 1) surprised it's still going 2) little sad at some of the unfriendly posting - regardless of how some member justify it.

What does become tedious regarding the warranty issue is how potentially deceitful and fraudulent some punters want to be eg sticking a box on, having a possible problem, then removing the box and keeping silent about it

I'd like to believe that the age of honesty hasn't died
