White 1- 0 Blue

Race Blue was all the rage back in the (MkII) day, but white suits this car so much better IMHO.

But, white is now so common that I’ll definitely need to change next time.

Silver looks great with black highlights - I think brilliant silver metallic might be the new white! ....

Finally a nice day to get a decent clean! Wash, tar remover, wash, clay, wash, polish a couple of marks, wax. I don't think it's been this clean since it left the factory! All AG stuff apart from bilt hamber clay bar.

It's not a vrs, but I'm very happy with her, I wouldn't mind a vrs front bumper though!

Plenty of people on here with non vrs variants by choice and very happy with them  :^]

@Leevan71 - bit of a micro climate up there in Derbyshire?

Its been pretty warm in most places these last few days.

If I noticed your car with that number plate I'd think it was a bit of a sleeper :D

Excellent pic - I like the perspective.

I'm new on this forum so I have to show my car as vel. ;)

This is mine.  A 2016 2.0tdi 4x4 with eibach 45-45 mm lowering springs and some 19" Ocean Cruise rims in gun metal painting.

The picture is taken in a famous Norwegian tunnel last summer.

Here is my first attempt to upload a photo of my new car, after I had spent the best part of Saturday cleaning and polishing it. I had a Diamond Brite kit from another car purchase doing nothing so decided while it was nice to put it to good use.

A cheeky wash the other day... who says white is hard to get reflections on.

What a ****** it was though to get her like this. Since delivery I haven't been happy with the colour. Like at all it seemed flat as hell. I picked it up during the snow.

This full detail took a day. So products/area/method used:

Body:

Jet wash

Iron x (whole car went purple... iron all over the car)

Jet wash

Iron x again. Less this time.

Jet wash

Iron x no purple streaking

Clay

Clay Lube

Contact Wash with BH auto Wash and two bucket method

Jet wash

IPA wipe down

Autofinesse tripple

Collonite 476 double coat x2

Wheels:

Jet wash

Iron x

Jet wash

Iron x again

Jet wash

Contact wash

Jet wash

Dry

IPA wipe down

Optimum optiseal

Tyre gel

Finish and die!!!

Went semi naked today. The Š was doing my head in every time I washed the car. My wash mit kept getting caught on it and leaving a big clump of material stuck to it. So, wash, dry, hairdryer, credit card, WD40 to remove traces of glue. Quick polish to remove any ghosting of the letters.

To be fair, it's the best photo I've ever seen taken by a recently deceased person!
