I've put my name on a Race Blue Estate. Not too struck on the rear of the hatch. Can the fsi be tuned then?

Almost RS4-ish....front bumper definately looks different and bigger....was comparing with the pic of the Sport in Roo's sig.

I doubt you could get the bumper as an offical accessory though.

Well, the new colour looks nice.

The design, well still not convinced it has the WOW factor like the old one, when the previous threads had showed it on the tracks, it just didn't do anything for me.

Sad to say but the estate looks the better of the 2, but still not doing it for me.

Maybe it'll be different when its driven, but with similar speeds and response time tot he outgoing model, why would you want to change?

Obviously the price now needs to be told, that should be a laugh, the trim level I would imagine would be similar in comparison to the outgoing model, at least it wont be less.

Heres to waiting & hoping.

Just me 2 pennies worth.

But will it have the padel shifts? Current DSG range do not.

Back end looks too much like a vectra with a celica spolier to me.

Disappointing, but not unexpected. Looks like my current car will be my first and last Skoda.

Just doesn't look different enough from the standard car for me ...... :(

I like it, but as others have said perhaps a little understated. Didn't have quite the wow factor of the first Octavia vRS for me.

Looking forward to seeing the interior, specs and price. I think it will look good in the flesh, possibly better than in the photos.

Blue estate for me

Well, I like it a lot. It is not nearly as aggressive as the mk1, shame, but it is nice...

That 2.0fsi is already tuning to an easy 260bhp, so that (plus a Milltek exhaust system) should make a tuneful 270bhp in a discrete 5 door.

Having driven the new GTi a number of times, if the build quality and handling are the same (or better) then it will be a belter!!!

I'll put my order in whenever Skoda will take it.

AMD quote well over

Looks more like VW's Jazz Blue to me!

The Fsi is a lot more to tune than the old generation stuff...I heard a rumour the fuel rail was like a grand alone....

I think it's luuuuuurvly,

I want to buuuuuuuy one,

Black magic for me please, again. Hmm, hatch or estate? will be waiting for a 6 to 12 month old one to filter through, unless there's a waiting list of course, in which case I will be putting a deposit down at the earliest opportunity, then selling the car for a vast profit.

Like the blue, is a bit like an S4

Just doesn't look different enough from the standard car for me ...... :(

and nor does the current model!

Any ideas what the interiour looks like?

what are those stupid reflective strips about on the lower part of the bumper?

i still think the sport looks pretty much the same as this, the vRS should stand apart IMHO

Hmmm - I'm another in the "not convinced" camp.

I think its looks pretty tame. One of the things I like about the old vRS is the "mean face" look - I think essentially that achieved by changing the front spolier so its swept forward a bit at the lower edge. The new one doesn't do this for me!

Have they designed the back end of the estate yet? No pics from the rear, and I can't make out a spoiler on these press pics.

Oh well - guess we will have to wait for specs, prices and seeing it in the flesh to decide.

About 3 yrs and 10 months til I change anyway, but going off the first two months with my Octy vRS estate I won't be in any hurry.

I'm lovin it!

Salut,

All right anyone any good with photoshop? I would love to see what the estate looks like in that blue

newvrs4us.jpgnewoctysport6za.jpgvrsold4zi.jpg

the current one looks lower, dont like the front bumper on the new one, especially the dents below the lights, and the vents should all run the same way. i prefer the bumper on the sport one. i like the side and the back of the new, although the back of the new one (botlid) looks like a Saab. i would like to see the back of the estate aswell. but most importantly - how much is it? because if its over

my fabia is the same colour! :orb_toung ..well near enough!
