Colour-coded trim is cool. Agree it doesn't look as mean as the current but still very keen on it nonetheless.

they forgot the estates rear boot spoiler :thumbdwn:

whats with the black tape on the bumpers?

It's poo because it should stand out, it really is that simple.

The Octavia IMO looks bland and only the vRS looks any cop, same with the new one except this time the vRS version is :thumbdwn:

not sure of that front bumper' date=' the old one looked great with the sections that swept down either side making it look more imposing, new one is to round looking i think

after all the rumour i was wondering if i would have regretted not waiting for the vRS, but seeing it im glad i went for the audi, vRS looks good, but just a bit to tame [/quote']

My sentiments exactly... too tame... I'm now thinking of the new A4 estate.

did a little photochopping of lowering the front bumper, more of a mouth to it! and lowierd them, as well as makeing the back bumper chunkyer to, looks better...oh and a straight tail pipe!

A very nice car , but a 2.0T version in a good trim level is going to cost 25K!!!

Thats a very big jump over an octy

Ah yeah, but when I go to trade up, there'll be second hand ones about... :D

Still not convinced of Octy's appearance. Although a black sport did appear quite nice in the flesh. Will have to wait to see final trim/price. Due to change end of year. Really would like a Octy RS, but between another Superb upgrade to Elegance :) , OctyVrs / L&K :) , or Pa$$at

19" alloys might do it though.

So jury's out .....still!

Well I think its looks nice. The Sport is a good looking Octy so a few more touches will add to it.

The current vRS is hardly a rugged looking sports car is it? Its not all that different from the regular Octy. Deeper bumpers and a tailpipe, kinda like the new one.

The Sport front end (and the old Octy vRS one) def look better to me. More agressive.

I beg to differ. Subtly aggressive is how I'd describe the current vRS. That lightly forward-cutting chin, the multispoked (but simple and effective) wheels. It's a plain, no-nonsense look.

That new vRS doesn't look aggressive. It looks like a camp, chinless wonder. The front end is far too fussy. The spoiler on the hatchback, those reflectors and that crease are too fussy at the back. The new wheels are even more complicated and fussy than the old ones. I'd have prefered some big five-spokes, or five double-spokes (Cupra-R style).

It looks like a cheap aftermarket bodykit where the designer has used every tool in the box, rather than being restrained and professional.

To me the blue hatchback from the rear looks like the Saab 9.3 Aero which I like but it doesn't look as agressive as the old vrs which may or maynot be a good thing. Love the colour though.

looking at the wheels and kit, its really frilly to much , i think the idea of this vrs/new octavia there trying to some how mix and match the two of simple boldness with elegance and a bit of a flare if im makeing any sence, but i wouldnt say no to one. cant wait to see the interior!, maybe a big one peic bit of matt black mesh in the front air dam, and some simpler wheels will sort it out

Very very dull :thumbdwn:

i dont think the pics are selling the front bumper properly... on some of the closer pics it looks flatter and more agressive but then on the others it looks to have some sort of outward sweep under the lights which really screws the look up.

i'm in the not sure want to see it in the metal camp.

I'll have to wait and see, but it isn't doing it for me yet.

When I first saw the Octy vRS I thought "wow". A few years later and my initial enthusiasm hasn't dulled and now I've gone and bought one!

The new version seems to lack that 'certain something'.

i'm in the not sure want to see it in the metal camp.

Well yeah OK put me in that group too, for now :smirk:

Very disappointing, its been a long time coming and all the build up has left me feeling hard done by. wish they made more of an effort, prob be a nice drive though and i cant wait to see the inside.
