Whats your next car / possible car after the MKI

Featured Replies

I would love to own a Honda S2000 but the biggest problem i've got i,s i've got used to the fuel economy of the Fabia.

God damn the price of petrol and road tax!

Whack a turbo kit on one and you have high 500s bhp beast, all you need is turbo kit exhaust and clutch engine is left stock as it's forged.

Changed your mind in half hour? lol

  • Very tempting, but a few things  For one, I find the "Seat" front grille a tad fugly when compared to even the mk1 Fabia, although I think that can be improved with the sportier kit? Its wierd the re

  • My fabia vrs is today being replace by a seat exeo estate tech sport....

I'd love a 335d Touring but most probably my next car after the Fab will be a 123d.

MkII Fabia Sport 1.9TDi PD 105 and a few bits plus a map :)

Auris 2.2 tdi'S seem to be another not well known fast diesel ;)

Quite likr mazda 3 mps too

My mate had one

The sr130

Not a bad car but for 130bhp it was as sluggish as hell

Also mpg was pretty shocking around 36-38 combined

If you get more than 40mpg your doing well.

They also do the sr180 which would be better. Unfortunately if you buy either the 130 or 180 bhp thats all your going to get as the ecu is unmappable and no company has ever managed to map one

Thanks for thay knowledge. Had my eye on the 180 and thought. Easy 200 + from a remap. .. but thats ruined my plan haha

Looks like it might be mps or something not very well known

Yup i looked at them too

Bit of study... Unmappable.... Discounted

I cant fault my lil fabia. . The feeling never gets old when you get the "What the beep is in that" in between traffic lights and you get to say . "1.9 diesel " before driving away to their shock

Probably a MK1 LCR, worth about the same money as my VRS and more car. I can't find anything else really that would suit me. Everything else either drinks like a fish or is out of my price range.

Mk7 golf R

Mk4 r32 golf but prob more realistically audi A3 tdi170bhp .

I got exactly what I wanted to upgrade to.

But I had a 2007 MX5 and a 2004 Fab vRS to chop in against it

plus a bit of savings. It's got all the best bits of both cars combined in one.

Best bits of MX5

RWD, heated leather, revs higher than a derv, sounds good when thrashed

goes round a corner, 2 doors.

Best bits of vRS

FWD, good wallop of torque, understated looks, black paint, back seat and

decent loadspace

Next spring, I'm getting a nice nearly new mid range motorbike (650cc)

Then next to be renewed is the van and finally when I go car hunting

again I'll be after a Porsche, 911 or Cayman probably but that won't be

for a year or two.

I wanna get an S2000 as a second car.. hopefully within the next 2 years as I reckon the prices of decent ones might start going up soon..

I will probably run the Fabia VRS into the ground as it fulfils my everyday needs perfectly. Like Johnno I would not mind an S2000 either or a Porsche Boxster when i can afford it or possibly (don't laugh) a Vauxhall (Holden) VXR8 (6 litres of yankee muscle). What i would really like though is an Audi RS4 but still too dear :(

I've got an s2000 but its turbo'd in fact its quicker than the TVR tuscan i had before not just because it actually ran 50% of the time lol, but its more reliable. They take boost so well so big power can be had for little cash really.

You can get can get a good early one for 5-6k, but the facelifted ones are much better.

I'm looking out for a nice Porsche boxter S.

Only thing I want after a string of 6 Fabias now... Best Fabia was my classic sdi as well :(

I'm after an 8P audi s3 or B8 Audi s4. Keep thinking about it and I can't bring myself to get rid of the fabia.

Think I'd re-visit some of my past steers; an RS500, and a ur Quattro.

Modern stuff really doesn't float my boat, but if I had money to burn, then an M3 Convertible for SWMBO.

most likely a BMW 123d M sport will be at least 4-5 years yet. 204 brake remapable to 240-250 and roughly 400lb of torque. in a small rear wheel drive hatch it would be quite a monster.

Good idea on the 1 series! But have you actually sat in one?

Very compact, similar internal size as a fabia which imo is too small

I want back my mint black Mk 2 Golf 16 valve the ex-wife made me sell, I loved that car which is why it had to go!

Pug 205 1.6 GTi runs it a close second for fun but the build quality was just shocking.

Modern tackle is so hideously overweight and sluggish by comparison, all the airbags and soundproofing and emissions strangulation.

nope not sat in one tbh. but the interior of the fabia is just right for me atm considering my previous car was a micra the fabia's interior is a big step up. :)

I would rather stick with a small sporty diesel hatch with 200+ brake so the power limits the choice a bit to either rear wheel or four wheel drive.

i don't fancy the s-tropic on the high powered diesel audi's, as I would rather use the neanderthal method of changing gear... a stick ;)or I would consider one of them.

so I'll most likely end up with a BMW as mercs are too pricey.

How much you looking at to turbo an s2000?

I guess it depends what I need. The short list is

Volvo c30 r design d5

Fiesta st

Focus st

Toyota gt86 with the Lichfield kit :)

Toyota corolla t sport compressor

Tried a Corolla t sport compressor, and was underwhelmed, both by the performance and the mpg. I'd rather have a Cleica st205 than one of those.

I'm still hankering after another ur Quattro and RS500, but I'd also love a mk Escort RS1600 (not a twin cam), an RS1800 or a Porsche 911 3.0 Turbo.

Oh sell, lottery dream only, at the moment...
