Changed your mind in half hour? lol

  • Very tempting, but a few things  For one, I find the "Seat" front grille a tad fugly when compared to even the mk1 Fabia, although I think that can be improved with the sportier kit? Its wierd the re

Lol have you seen that Porsche 918 Hybrid? Now that sounds interesting. It seems like the whole car industry is starting to be shaken up, hopefully in a good way.

I'm waiting for the prices of the MK2 Ocatavia vrs to come down and then I can sell the Fabia and have a car that makes me look more like a grown up again.

And hopefully make you happy again lol.

Eventually Im gonna need sutin bigger and I would ideally get an Audi A4 3.0 TDI Quattro if Im lucky

Kawasaki Ninja 300/636,

Then the change spent on a small engined banger because I think I could have more fun in my old metro than my vRS. Please don't shoot me

The Fabia is a excellent car

( although it's in my bad books at the moment as the glow plugs have died leaving me stranded on New Year's Eve )

But it's a bit pants in the corners and because of the price of the car you can never really push it because your afraid to smash it.

My old metro could and did beat BMW/Mercs/Jags (or their drivers) in any corner and when on a windy road I could loose them. It is was completely predictable. The Fabia I find isn't predictable and almost untrustworthy in corners.

It would have to be a petrol car with no turbo. I find no turbos cars feel slower but are much better in the twisty roads as there is no turbo lag causing understeer. Friends got a rx8 but it feels slower in a straight line than the vrs when it is or should be like a second + quicker.

I sound like I try to race all the time but I really don't. The Fabia vRs has turned me into a really calm driver since I got it, think I don't see the point in revving it as you don't get the sounds of a petrol.

I've decided to save up some pennies and see if I can get insured on a Newage WRX. Turns out they don't cost as much to run as they make out unless you yob it constantly. Easy to mod to 280bhp with better MPG than an STi.

The thing is, tuners get more power out of 8's for less. So Clarkson being amazed at the 400hp out of the engine amused me.

Usually the issue with NA cars. Smooth delivery with no shove. Makes it feel slower if your used to turbos. I've heard claiming DC2's "aren't quick m8" for that reason.

Of course they do but the evo is a sub £50,000 production car. A 5 seat almost family car keeping up with +£200,000 supercar that's quite impressive.

We all know which one we'd rather have if money was no object though. XD

No doubt about that my friend.

Metroooooo

What engine did you have in it? Spent an unhealthy amount of my life on metrpower.org!

Still got the Vrs and wouldn't get rid but it has been joined by a 230 SLK and a Boxster S - all three are good fun !! I could do with the government introducing a multi car tax scheme -

Feck, what do you do for a living and how can I get involved ? :P

hehe - do as little as possible mate and keep my eyes peeled for good older cars - the boxster is 2001 48k miles - full history - 3 owners - with all the trimmings and a hard top for £5300 , the slk is 2000 , 38k miles - full history - 2 owners - all the trimmings - £2750 ; I reckon both will return my money if I sell later this year. Only prob is that they both enjoy drinking fuel.

Aaaaaah. I'm hoping to be running a WRX soon. I don't have the best job in the world. But at the same time I don't have kids and barely do 10k a year if that. So hopefully it won't cost me too much on fuel if I don't drive like a **** all the time.
