:bump: According to the "top 1000" teams we had the biggest single WU production score total in the team's history - 3380 points - now up to 282 in the rankings! http://statsman.info/folding2stats

Ok, I signed up too.

Another Athlon on :)

Has anybody got the definitive list of stats links?

Seen so many flavours' date=' but lost many with a recent disk issue.

If so could then be appended as comments to http://www.briskoda.net/modules.php?name=Content&file=viewarticle&id=26

Most informative one at the moment seems to be:

Thats just for the team, Briskoda. However, there's a sub menu off to the left where you can look at individual progress, etc.

I added another couple of P4 2.8's yesterday, I'm aiming for the top 30 pre-Christmas ;)

added a couple more PC's in work today - nothing special tho -- celerons I think and they've started switching all PC's off at night :(

Doesn't look like top 30 will be that difficult for you Jon! You've moved 14 places in the last 7 days.

What have you got folding now then?

Chris

woohoo, we've broken the top 200 :D

woohoo, we've broken the top 200 :D

Stanford's site still has us at 201 though, but it can't be long before we are in the top 200 there.

We are currently in position 199, but at the current production rate we will soon be hitting a brick wall and progress will slow to a crawl.

This is a plea, please help out the team. It would be nice to get into the top 100, but at the current production rate I estimate it will take another 8 years.

Can i just say a BIG THANKYOU!

To everyone whos been folding for the briskoda team... i couldnt have imagined that it would get this far! i definately couldnt have imagined we would make the top 500 let alone the top 200 in less than a year!

remind me next time you see me that i owe you all a pint... (im gonna regret this - )

As per Col's comments, a great achievement of spare cpu power, well done to those involved.

Now the going gets tough, but I'm sure there are a few ex daily thompson decathlon

players out there yet to be snapped up for htis cause....so get tapping the keyboards.

I am in on Tuesday to set it up in the training rooms and on the ghost server :-) My own PC is ticking away just about to complete it's first WU for the team, the laptop is chugging away at it's first chunk (70/400).

If it's not to resource hungry and behaves with the classroom setups I will stick it on the standard build for the classroom machines.

The next thing to do is host a LAN party at work for all us sad gamesplaying types

It is hungry, but will automatically slow its own CPU usage down in response to any demand from any other source for some juice. Its not affected either of my two machines when using other programs. It just speeds up when its idle. ;)

Cool, I will give it a whirl, it's just that Microsoft are moving more courses over to Virtual PC and so resource is sometimes at a premium, like when running an ISA 2K4 course with 12 virtual PC's installed (though not all running of course). Makes my life easy with setups though and I could drop the folding client onto the base XP image for the vpc courses.

Fluff.. please make sure you wont get in trouble for any of this ;)

for the "tech" explination, it sets itself to "low" priority.. pretty much every program (inc Virtual PC) sets itself to "normal" priority so will get available cpu time above f@H. :)

Hopefully I won't :-) , I could always take myself into the corner and give myself a good bo!!ocking for misuse of company property. I do understand the tech bit m8 :D I am more concerned about RAM than CPU usage. It should be fine, and if not I can still make a valuable contribution with the stuff @ home

currently my home uber-opteron folding machine is using less than 5mb ram for folding..

as long as you dont choose the "large wu" option that ive seen use over 100mb ram youll be fine. :D

Hmm lot's of the places that I use for PC stuff either don't stock opteron's or don't have them in stock!!

Where do you get your stuff from ??

Sooooo, if even the big WUs are only using 100MB of RAM, is there much point getting more than 512mb RAM with a new tower which is going to be doing nothing but folding? I was gonna go for 1gig.
