Cruise control retrofit by Tech1e

Featured Replies

Big thanks to Ross Clarke (Tech1e) for retrofitting my cruise control today on my Roomster TSi

It has been a really difficult job obtaining any details for the cruise control retrofit kit for the 2013 Model Year Roomster, with many people telling me that it was not possible. Eventually I managed to find a dealership who could sell me the the official Skoda Kit -however the price they were quoting for fitting it was excessive with them claiming for an entire day's worth of labour!

Step in the Briskoda Cruise Control Guru who has fitted the kit for me for a fraction of the price. It is a pretty involved job with very substandard and incorrect technical documentation (poor show from Skoda  :( ), however Ross's superior knowledge and experience meant that he was able to fit the kit without too much difficulty. The only area of confusion was that a new body control module was included in the kit, this turned out to be surplus to requirement as it was not compatible with my central locking for some reason, however applying the long coding from it to the factory fitted module meant that it all works fine.
